Back in my early adulthood, I was never really into nightclubs. They felt too loud and crowded for me, and not really a space where I could connect properly. I tended to prefer smaller, more creative or interest-based spaces instead — like writing, or online communities.
I don’t really miss that period of life. I did the best I could at the time with what I had, and I started to feel more on track in my late twenties, when I began seeing things from a different perspective.

I didn't know TTN swung that way. Not there's anything wrong with that, but alas...

Anyway, drinks at night clubs and bars have always been a tad overpriced, but nowadays it's worse than ever.

I went to see the UEFA Champions League final between PSG vs. Arsenal at a bar in my city a couple of months ago in the mid-late afternoon and the beers I drank definitely were overpriced. And I stuck to regular Portuguese beers. A Guinness would have cost me €7.5 ****ing hell.

I guess he doesn't qualify as African American to cubed because he doesn't say things like "yessa massa", "sup dawg", "yo", "kill whitey" and "shee-it negro!"

I think a lot of people forget you don't have much money in your young adult years. Most people are still in college, or had just graduated, and don't have much money yet when you start your first major full-time job. It's not like everyone (unless they're rich beforehand), go around partying spending thousands of dollars every week in your 20's.

Most people don't see real wealth until their 30's or 40's, when you've been working a number of years.

Sure, but when you're 18-26 or so, most people still live at their parents home in my country. I think the average age now for young people leaving their parents home here is 28, in fact. The whole "leaving your parents home at 18-20" was never a thing here. That's more of an American thing.

So even if young adults don't have a lot of disposable income themselves, they can at least rely on their parents. Where do you think they got the money to travel to Thailand, Indonesia, etc. from when they were only 18-22 still?
