For fun I just watched a recent selfie video she put up on her Instagram and yeah. You can see the filter. In some moments she's moving around and the filter kicks off for a second or two and you can see her real skin/face before it kicks back on. Still not terrible but that filter is easily taking 15 years off her skin/face.

It really is a shame how fast women age. Like if a man keeps himself well groomed and takes care of himself, he can still look good well into his 50's and beyond. Look at George Clooney or other famous actors who are over 50-60 but you can still tell look good for their age.
But for women, it's such a rarity. And I'm not even talking about women who put on weight either, I'm talking about women who stay thin but their face just...melts. Or they get too bony and turn into Skeletor. And others have their jaws hang and turn into the swamp witch from the black lagoon! It really depresses me. I know people who are married to their wives are kinda "immune" to this and see their loved ones as just as beautiful as the day they met them, but we all kinda know it happens. Look at photos from when you were younger and first met your wife and compare it to now, everyone looks considerably aged. |

Also, married couples tend to... stay together, and thus grow old together. It's a much more gradual thing feeling up, I mean, admiring your wife day after day. It's not the same was randomly seeing an updated pic of some celeb you had forgotten about and say 'whoa, so-and-so got old!'

Some marriages can go the distance, you just don't hear much about them because most successful married couples don't lead exciting lives.

Yeah about 50%. It's a coin toss.
Some women just wake up one day and feel like they need to find themselves and despite being perfectly logical before that just use that excuse to either be unfaithful, divorce, all with just hiding behind the excuse that she has changed out of nowhere or that you dont give her enough attention. You don't find hundreds of memes about this online because it is fake, on the contrary. I mean Tara Strong had a great husband but all the attention she got from simps in convention's from younger fans lead to her cheating and eventual divorce. And sont forget women also like to play victim so she surely found some excuse to say why her husband was the bad guy and screw him in the divorce and get moral support from family and friends. And she's having sex with fans, you know that she was making the voices of some of her characters while in the act. Imagine Harley actually telling you to stuff her up, you now had canon sex in the DC animated universe. |

Most failed marriages we hear about are Hollywood related and those are often doomed to fail since these actors/actresses can't stop sleeping with their costars. As much as I wish Tom and Zendaya luck, I wouldn't be surprised if a decade or so whenever he stars in another big trilogy (as someone else, not Spider-Man/MCU) we'll hear the marriage ended because he slept with whoever the female romantic lead for that new movie series was. Most of the time actual long-lasting marriages are only brought up as matter-of-fact or a milestone. People crave drama, break-ups, so and so taking their man to the cleaners, etc As much flak as Leo DiCaprio gets for only dating 20+ models, if he was just happily married with someone closer in age, we wouldn't hear a peep about it.

Usually you hear perimenopause hits and the chick becomes crazy and agitated and the dude cheats or just says "peace out." Alternately perimenopause hits and the chick decides she hates men and wants to be left alone so she bounces and tries to take everything on the way out.

We came from a 'marriage takes work, you work it out' generation, not this modern day short attention span 'marriage lasts til the butterflies go away' tiktok generation.

I think the issue is some people get married way too young, like 20-24 since they date the same girl from college or even High school prior. But then you grow older and realize they weren't the right person or you grow apart. A lot of people do rush into marriage but when you're only in your early 20's you literally limit yourself to 1 person for the rest of your life and don't realize you only got together because you knew each other from school or whatever.

Amy Jo Johnson aka the pink power ranger Kimberly was also married for many years after her power rangers stunt.
And then boom, at the end of the 2010s she started doing cons and within 2 years she was now divorced and got married to a fan who is ten years younger than her. Imagine being able to role play with the actual Kimberly in costume as you dump your morphin' grid inside her pterodactyl. All of this while another fan is sitting on the corner wearing a Lord Zedd outfit watching it all happen. The lust of these geek franchise celebrities must be stopped. Their thirst is messing up the continuity if we have to take these as happening in universe as well. |

Out of curiosity I just googled Denise Richards since she was the "big boobed" girl of the 90's who appeared in Starship Troopers, James Bond: The World is not Enough and Wild Things. She's 55 now, and her face does look like skeletor.
Women age terribly. |

Looking at Amy Jo Johnson, almost at any age she seems like a TEMU Jennifer Garner. Except we know for a fact that Jennifer Garner is nuts and I don't see anything about Amy Jo Johnson being nuts, so maybe that evens out the playing field there between them somewhat.
She's got a free Onlyfans. |

I still lurk here, just too lazy to post much since running my own business now, but this caught my eye. I have a hard time believing that Tara Strong is actually doing that personally, but who knows.
Now, as for the marriage talk….I think the main reason marriages fail is because people rush into them too fast or get married because of some other circumstance, like pregnancy. Some may get married because of pressure from family in general. I know my aunt got married even though she knew my uncle wasn’t good for her, but all her friends around her were marrying and he was the father of her child so they got married but in the end, divorced. He was abusive. My mother’s other sister became pregnant young, married the father of her child but he was also abusive. They did divorce, though. The person she’s with now, though, has been a thing since I was a teen. They even came to my graduation. As for my parents, they’ve been together since they were 19 years old. My father passed away this past February, happily married the entire time. 50+ years together. My mother’s other sister has been with her husband since she was 16 years old, also 50+ years. The problem with people these days is that they don’t take marriage seriously. They don’t get to know one another beyond surface level or a superficial one or just too immature for it. First sign of a disagreement, they’re out the door. I guess the other reason is that people just grow apart or they do just get married too young. Quote:
