IDW November and December 2026 solicits

https://bleedingcool.com/comics/excl...2026-solicits/

- No ongoing in December, just the Holiday Special. New team will take over in January.

- First full look at MM Armaggon.

- Pretty big spoiler for “Shredder”. Not sure how I feel about that.

- Journeys keeps on truckin. We will officially be at the halfway point in December.

Halfway point of Journeys?... So they're probably going to complete this reprint series... Is the story still just going to stop without a conclusion or have they negotiated with Laird to write a few extra issues like with the Image series?

I wonder if they’ll keep the time traveler element or if he’ll just be a mutant shark. I know Joustra’s next mini will star the MM version of Renet (which apparently won’t be starting in December).

Yeah I just meant halfway through reprinting Volume 4.

There is nothing announced about going into #33 or beyond. Just some speculation and a rumor or two.

Someone told me Jim Lawson said he hasn’t been contacted yet and doesn’t think he’d even be interested at this point. I don’t see Peter penciling the whole thing, but he has been doing some more drawing as of late.

Personally, I’d love to see Eastman on art duty to finish it off. That would be very poetic.

We still have until May 2028 at the very earliest if they stay on a monthly schedule. I’m still hopeful.

Yeah, I did get that you just meant the halfway point of what has already been released. What I meant is that it would just be awkward if they just end it unresolved as is.

I agree. As a hardcore whacko fan (who foolishly sold his volume 4 collection in 2020), I’m just happy to see them reprinting it at all. But considering there’s a portion of casuals and normies following Journeys, it certainly will be awkward if they just wrap it up with #32.

Another possibility is they have their own plans to finish it themselves. They’ve already acknowledged Mirage Splinter as a dimensional council member in the Battle Nexus, so who knows what seeds they were planting with that.

Unhappy

I'm sure IDW would hire Jim Lawson to draw a Vol. 4 finale, I mean they have to. Vol. 4 being drawn by anyone other than him would be wrong. But yeah, they should just have Jim ask PL for a few story beats on how he wanted to wrap up vol. 4 and Jim would just write the script himself based on PL's ideas. This is what I said they should of done 15 years ago.

I’m sure they would attempt to hire him, I just don’t know if he’d accept their page rate. They’re notoriously cheap. Thus far they’ve only hired him for covers and like 3 shorts.

Personally I’d love to see Eastman on art (and ONLY art, let Crazy Peter cook with the story). That would be a great bookend and it makes better business sense. He’s a much bigger draw than Lawson.
