Well can you imagine if the rebranding of the darker tone had worked? the whole red sky seasons was to mimic X-Men and other 90s action cartoons.
If you think about it the 2k3 show is really just a more action 90s influenced version of the original show, If you crossed over the red sky season turtles with 2003 in turtles forever and it wouldn't have been that different in terms of personalities. If it had gone for 5 more years evolving after the final season it would've ended up in the same tone as the 4kids show by the time it reached its sixth season in 2003.

Now that I think about, IF such an episode existed it was most likely replaced that one episode where Splinter lost his memory and it was also a clip show of the older episodes.

That was only season 3 though, I’m guessing made to accommodate the show’s syndication deal to ensure an “origin story” episode. Surprised that was the only clip show in a very long run. You’d think the CBS deal or Red Sky era would have warranted at least one more.

Plus, that “Blast from the Past” episode still told an interesting new story and deepened the show’s lore of the Foot Clan with elements that got referenced in a later season episode and even got worked into the IDW comics!

Yeah, I just don't see them doing two clip shows of the same episodes. I know some long-running shows have 2 or 3 clip shows in their multi-season runs, but they rarely do clips of the same episodes.
