Tim Curry was quite a character actor. He could do most anything. His life's work will always be cherished. Rest well, Tim Curry.

Damn, this one hurts. He could be in a stinker movie like Congo and make it worth watching again and again. I also loved his voice work in Gargoyles and Ferngully.
Weird that CBS Sunday Morning did a segment on him a little while ago. Maybe he knew his time was up. |

I'm glad that Clue became a cult classic after it initally failed at the box office. Tim's performance was a major highlight.

This really destroys me! I adored Tim Curry as an actor. And he voiced so many iconic characters that enjoyed so much growing up. His stand out role to me was as Skull Master from Mighty Max. He was so genuinely threatening as a villain that he was one of my favorite aspects of Mighty Max. Especially during a time in the 90s where villains being a legit threat and menacing was still rare. I know he suffered a stroke sone years ago which slowed him down, but I was hoping he was recovering. He will be missed. 80 years old is a full life. Rest in peace Tim Curry.

Yeah, it's stunning to look back at how many animated shows he's played notable parts in, and that's a part of his career that seems to be ignored by a lot of the media coverage in his wake.
I'm guessing Nigel Thornberry is probably his most famous role in that genre. https://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/Tim-Curry/

Damn, another Gargoyles voice actor gone.
RIP Dr Anton Sevarius. I'm going to have to watch some of his movies at the weekend.

Although most people believe that Disney’s 1953 version of Captain Hook from Peter Pan is the definitive version of the character, and I also agree with that, Curry gave a fantastic voice performance of Captain Hook on Fox’s Peter Pan and the Pirates and deserved his Daytime Emmy Award.

For some reason i thought he had died a few years ago. Never understood why he wasn't in more movies, I loved him as a kid, he had a very peculiar look.

It's amazing how many celebrity deaths I've learned about first through page visits and refreshes on The Drome Forums

Kind of unsettling knowing that when our time comes Tim Curry will be waiting for us, holding a red balloon.

When we asked the grim reaper to take the villain from Home Alone 2, we didn’t mean Tim Curry!
(that’s just to annoy someone here

That's what I see when I see the Technodrome "death thread culture". Occasional relevance but mostly stunted f's modeling behavior like autists who are reporting on a death for self-importance rather than any other well-adjusted reasons first. Like... is it actually "news" or is it a "solemn virtue signal" because it's so replete here.... |
