I never would have thought we'd get MASHIMA. Sure, I'll buy it. He's going to help fill out a pretty awesome Mirage Foot lineup.

I guess a big case could be made that if they're rolling out this guy... yep, we're going to get everybody else on my "Most Wanted" list. Eventually.

I have no clue if this is “look at our crazy deep cuts, we can do this forever” or “we’ve already been told who we can’t do by Mattel and are now at the bottom of the barrel.”

Or maybe it’s just “here are two skinny comic dudes that share a bunch of pieces.”

Supposedly Neca has lot the TMNT license. What a damn shame but it was a great run. I knew things had gotten too quiet.

On that note, I’m bowing out. Mattel won’t get a cent from me.

Damn. I bet we would have actually gotten everything I wanted if they had just gone a few more years. There were several art styles from legendary TMNT artists I wanted to see represented. Seeing the Urban Legends line was what I was currently anticipating though.

That said, it’s a great line. As a Mirage fan it’s more than I ever would have imagined in terms of figures. It helps to keep perspective.

Well... That's one third of my current collecting habits done, between NECA Turtles, Star Wars TVC and Mythic Legions.

Guess I'll be saving some money. I can't see any world where Mattel give us Mirage or Archie figures that will fit in with what NECA have done.

And I suppose I'll be bidding adieu to you fine gentlemen at the same time.

Thanks so much to NECA for Archie, Mirage and the 1990 movie collection.

That's fine, if true. Definitely we could go over some "would have, should have, could have" or even "why did they do X instead of X?!?" but we got some great stuff out of this run.

I'm a little skeptical, though. The whole "NECA has the license, NECA's lost the license, NECA's doing TMNT stuff again" seems kind of familiar, doesn't it?

It’s probably something along the lines of Mattel wants to be the exclusive only game in town for the first year or two of being the master license holder and then they will realize that they can make more money by sublicensing it back out to companies like NECA, who will probably be happy to grab it again if the price is right. So yeah, this could be a forced hiatus rather than a solid no more ever again ending as they could jump right back in once potentially resigning.

I already waited 8 years for a Mirage Shredder once.

I'm beginning to wonder if NECA's last release as a sendoff will actually be a Chris Allen 4-pack of the brothers....
It just doesn't make sense that they wouldn't do it. Especially when they are losing the license and that could send them off with a huge, probably $250 boxed set cash grab.

On that note, here is NECA Tempestra....

I really was genuinely holding out hope for this from them, but if they're out of the turtle game, we're cooked. All two of us.

Three. Those are cool designs for what they are and the nostalgia is strong as hell with Next Mutation. Somehow I knew that show was being developed before it came out and I was in elementary school. I’m pretty sure it was my friend who told me his mom was working on a TMNT show with the title “mutation” in it (though he didn’t say “next” mutation, he called it something else).

So when the action figures showed up, I was more than ready and it was sort of the first TMNT “hype train” I ever rode in a sense.

The show was pretty bad but I was still just young enough to not care and be enamored with more live action TMNT. Fun times.

In a way, Neca figures would be the best treatment that version of the property ever got, figures or otherwise.

Because I was there, I popped into the same Target I've always tried before and never seen any NECA TMNT at. This time I was just browsing the video game aisles... and there they were. For some reason they put a whole bunch of NECA figures in like a display case with shelves in between the Nintendo and Playstation aisles. They had Shredder with Krang's head from the Archies, some Monster TMNT stuff, and Nobody, which I bought. $39.99.

I saw the Archie Leatherhead at Target yesterday. Truly a badass sculpt. I left it on the shelf as I imagined that it was 50 bucks and didn't care to scan it to find out.

F NECA.

The cheapest I saw there was $34. It was one of the Next Generation Turtles from Last Ronin.

NECA figs generally are $34.99 unless it’s a larger figure
