This is technically the only animated show to not have a movie
1. FW technically doesn’t have a movie, but I personally do count Turtles Forever since it’s a crossover. An argument can also be made for the 90’s trilogy counting. Obviously they’re separate continuities, but there was a lot of cross-promotion, they shared the same toy line, etc.
2. 4kids had TF. 3. Ciro has repeatedly mentioned his idea for the Kraang Primordius movie and even had the little prequel comic published by IDW 2 years ago. Still… nothing. 4. Rise movie. 5. I guess another technicality, but FAKE “Tales” is a spinoff of a theatrical film. |

I think if the MM sequel fails which is a real probabiity and paramount doesn't know what to do with the turtles, by 2030 you're getting close to that 20 year cycle of nostalgia so a movie could be made for 2012. I'd like that if it somehow didn't retcon the Mutant Apocalypse future ending people hated so the staff of the show started to do damage control of "oh its a possible future, not definite" because fans were too autistic to actually get an interesting ending for once. pussies
in anywah I'd actually consider that one a movie of sorts if you want to really think of 2012 getting a movie. But it'd be nice to revisit these characters, but who knows Ciro has so many ****** ideas in his head if he's in charge we might just get another horror parody story. As far as the FW show, yeah its odd it iddn't get a movie but I guess 1990 really was their movie. After all it became part of the opening intro for the later seasons. |

Though in spirit you are still wrong on two counts. The FW turtles are really just guest stars in a 4Kids story and unless Mutant Mayhem 2 takes the show into account, I don't really see that as a worthwhile point. Anyway, I doubt this show will ever really get one, it's been off the air for almost ten years now and I'm not sure anyone still cares enough. |

And yes, basically all the season 5 arcs functioned as little movies. Quote:

It’s just ironic that the 2012 show is clearly the most successful cartoon of the Viacom/Nick era and it’s the only one of the 3 to not have a movie associated with it. |

Yeah, after 2012 was a strong first attempt at TMNT by Nick, it's pretty weird that's the one with no movie.

No movie, no mini, no special, no anything. They didn't ever even test the waters to see if people wanted that and they've been sitting on the assets for a decade now.
Weird! |
