So there's the rub. Also, huh? "WGA obtained a concession from Paramount “to prohibit writer layoffs at CBS News Broadcast for 5 years.”" Why would CBS News need writers?

Edit: I don't understand why so many folks seem to doubt the "30 movies a year" thing. You realize not EVERY movie needs to be a 90-200 million dollar budgeted thing? WB could do 10 big budget movies and like 20 small, 5-15 million dollar budgeted films and throw them to like Obsession/Backrooms indie guys and they'd be fulfilling their yearly commitment.

This means the long-running reality TV series Survivor and Harry Potter will be under the same roof. When I was a teenager and young adult I used to pretend that I was Harry Potter and contestants from Survivor were either heroes or villains from the Wizarding World franchise. Examples being Colby Donaldson as Sirius Black, Rupert Boneham as Hagrid, Amber Brkich Mariano as Hermione, Tina Wesson as Molly Weasley, Richard Hatch as Voldemort, Jerri Manthey as Bellatrix Lestrange, Lex van den Berghe as Lucius Malfoy, and Johnny Fairplay as Draco Malfoy. I would also pretend that Colby would do this Lex like Sirius did to Lucius.

It really puts into perspective how long these mergers take to finalize, and how much longer after it takes to see the effects of it and what the new Paramount would actually greenlit WB to make.

Well because of this merger we might get some Paramount crossovers like Star Trek in Stuart Fails To Save The Universe season 2, maybe even a TMNT crossover
