It's strange the only thing I care about this is what happens to the TMNT franchise. I'm sure James Gunn's universe will continue regardless, Star Trek's current shows are all over already, and Avatar just has another show that doesn't look great.

TMNT is the only question mark. How much longer IDW will hold the license, what the next big live-action TMNT movie could be.

The only thing that's different now is the comic book factor, the question of if they'll let the IDW license expire and publish TMNT at their in house studio, DC. Skydance already bought Paramount and thus bought the TMNT well over a year ago now so the people at the top with TMNT post-WB acquisition are the same people at the top that they were that well over a year ago. And we've already seen what the Skydance people did when they took charge. They cancelled the Last Ronin movie and apparently greenlit both Mutant Mayhem 2 and 3. But then also this nebulous new live action movie with, what was it, SNL writers?

Yeah, I know WB and/or Paramount will still be used as marketing names (probably), it's just lame to call this company Skydance even if that is the controlling company in this merger.

But that's the thing about mergers. There is no "controlling company" when the dust settles. It's just one big thing. And from what I'm reading they will still trot out the Paramount and WB's names/logos still for films, interchangeably.

So Victorious spin off series Hollywood Arts and Harry Potter series will be among first series released by Skydance company, season 2 of both shows will be fully produced by this new company, well for Hollywood Arts series at least if it gets greenlighted because season 2 of Harry Potter series is already filming, season 3 will be first to be fully made by this company also Clayface movie will be among first movies released by this company

Yeah, context is key. There's no new slate for DC projects announced just yet and two key allies at WB are being shown the door, with Zaslav himself to follow.

Gunn has to stay at the moment to show there's a sense of unity, but he still has to deliver at the box office, or Man of Tomorrow stops everything.
