... This isn't a movie. It's a new game based on Hellraiser.

Gah... I knew that and I still posted it in the wrong forum. Perhaps a kindly mod can do that.

I am sad that this is not getting a Switch 1 release. I absolutely love the first 4 movies and this game looks so cool.

Started to play this today. Yeesh. I need to be in the right headspace to come back to it. It's REALLY good and faithful but there is some genuinely unsettling stuff, even for me. And that running away from the Chatterer bit is pretty pulse-pounding.

From what I'm gathering it really is like the third Hellraiser movie we should have gotten. Definitely it builds on the world-building that II did.

I would absolutely love to playthis game. I love the first 4 movies. I think thatthe concept of Hellraiser had the potential to be the absolute best horror franchise, but instead there wasn't much love put into the sequels.

I love 3 as it was the first one I saw as I kid but you can tell that's the moment it came off the rails. Still a quality movie, but it completely changed the emphasis of the franchise into basically just a slasher/boogieman thing. 4 followed suit and even went to space (??) and despite some "Good stuff in there despite the budget" in both 5 and 6.

You can watch 1 and 2 and get a whole vibe and feel that isn't replicated in any other Hellraiser movie, remotely. In fact, it felt like most of the other sequels began as other scripts that were rewritten into being Hellraiser, because most of them were.

Most of the sequels were ctually other movie scripts that were changed to Hellraiser.

I was considering doing that thing I do where I drop all of the quotes and widdle them down to make the point but this time I went "eh".

Fun fact, I can't do many impressions well, but I think I do a halfway decent Pinhead (Doug Bradley) augmented voice. I did this 17 years ago apparently:

Sidenote: has anyone seen Clive Barker lately? Shesus, this is last year:

I've only ever seen him jacked up and usually sun-burned.
