Star Trek's Paval Checkov Walter Koenig has passed away. In addition to this role, Walter also played the devious Bester in Babylon 5. RIP to one of science-fiction's most endearing performers

Aw, man.

He'd participated in tons of Star Trek fan works along the way for like 20 years now. He even got to voice the president of the Federation in Picard season 3. I've seen him in passing many, many times over the years but think I saw him in person as recently as a year ago, at Summercon here. He had no line and looked a little bit glum.

At this point I'm convinced Shatner and Takei will live to 100. They are both too stubborn to die.

I used to like Takei when he'd pop into Howard Stern's show about 25 years ago but lately he's just a whiny b**ch. He used to just be pissy about Shatner but now it's transcended that into him being pissy about everything.

I haven't watched Babylon 5 beyond the first few episodes but I have seen this clip of him in that. Quite a different character from Chekov.

Takei's social media personality is annoying as **** and only functions to belittle people or shout out something about being gay. It's definitely not him making all those posts, though, and is based on his persona from 15–25 years ago. If you see actual recent clips of him he is now much older than he is in your head.

Shatner is going to live forever, though.

The reason there's so many deaths is all the famous actors from the 60's, 70's and 80's are now old as hell. They were already old/adults when we were kids, so now that we're all 40 or middle age...they're obviously 40 years older. No surprise all of them are on their deathbeds.
