Unrelated to any current discussion, I got the complete 5th wave for my birthday recently! I've only taken them out of their boxes to fiddle around with since I don't have a proper place for them at the the moment. If I remember, this is the wave where a lot of people started having QC issues, and I can definitely see that. A lot of the joints are kinda loose. Still though, I satisfied since I got the whole wave $44

Wave 5 was the Vietnam factory fiasco. Those figures are made completely differently from the rest of the line.

The quality control wasn't great (and it impacted more than just the TMNT line), so Krang being a floppy mess and Samurai Leo being riddled with issues. Looking back though, Ray Fillet was pretty solid and Leatherhead, while imbalanced, was a great update to the vintage toy.

But at $11 a figure, that wave is worth it.

That's also why wave 7 was *so* late. It was meant to be produced in the Vietnam factory originally, but got moved to the Chinese factory that made the rest of the figures... but they lost their place in line and didn't get queued until after wave 10 a year later.

I'm actually all caught up with Super7 TMNT line (lost thousands since I was not a late adopter, was a mid-adopter if that makes sense), I even have both versions of the Super Cyborg Krang.

Only thing I am missing is the Pizza Wagon.

Curious to see if there's any more TMNT after Hun, April and Raphael (motorbike).

I wish they would release a GITD mouser pack.

Doubt they do, but hopeful nevertheless. The only real character that I desperately want that they haven't done yet is Baxter. Throw in some GITD mousers with that guy and I'm over the moon. Other cool characters to see would be Foot Mystics beyond just fire and I'd love some 2k3 style Triceratons.

My assumption is that this is carte blanche for all existing license holders. Yes, it's over for NOW, but they can re-negotiate their terms with the new master license holder. No one really knows how those negotiations will go. Just a guess!

Oh well! The figures are not produced in well enough quality to justify their price point or wait time, they refused to make Pizzaface claiming he was a "racist stereotype" & now they deny their obvious frequent usage of AI in their marketing material (& from what an insider tells me, on their sculpts, too).

They could have at least included a Super Pak or GITD paint, but limiting it to 1000 forced my hand, probably wont be on BBTS unless routed later for a higher price. Cheap and easy cash grab, but I don't want to miss out on the final wave ever.

I suppose the weapon effects substitutes for Super Pak, if that was their internal logic.

Man that 2k3 April looks really rough on the promo pics, I hope the actual figure is good. I have her on preorder but I fear it's going to somehow look worse than the Playmates figure which is actually fairly decent.

That's my favorite April and I need her for my multiverse Turtles Display where I have my favorite turtle from each incarnation.
