Lots of new previews have come out, they actually are changing some of the puzzles around. Not drastically but a lot have been altered (since Link can now jump at any time), and a lot of older puzzles centered around the camera and using the (back in 1998 ) revolutionary Z-targeting which is just common ground in modern 3D games for the last 25 years.

There's also some new sidequests added, as a 5th empty bottle and a new item where you can summon a Deku Scrub at any time to buy stuff has been added. Also a trophy/showcase for all the enemies.

All in all it's looking to be the definitive version of the game. I can't wait to see how they handle all the cutscenes and voice acting.

I'm still pissed they got rid of the tradition of gold zelda games, it doesn't matter that they went with discs, you could just color the discs gold, I undestood they had to make the covers a bit different to get them to stand out but keep the golden look. It's been decades since they abandoned it but still..

My wishlist are just the things I always wanted and searched rumors in magazines and online as a little kid:

Unfreeze Sora's domain
Temple of light
Get the triforce
Ura Zelda DD64

I can actually see them doing the whole unfreezing of zora's domain.

I guess the only modern thing I'd add is an ingame cutscene or even some obscure NPC dialogue hidden somehwere with an explanation of how 3 timelines emerge from OOT. The whole fallen hero timeline BS better have an explanation in the game.

Or the little SD cards that Switch and Switch 2 takes. It can't possibly be that costly to make them in gold colored plastic.

I'm feeling the hype, and I didn't even want a remake of OOT. This will also be my third switch game, MK World, DK Bananza and now this, though I'm sure i'll get Star Fox on a black friday sale. I guess I've just been playing Switch 1 games for the most part or "switch 2" editions of switch 1 games.

I'm tempted to get the zelda pro controller if I ever find it available, don't care enough about it if they don't bother to mass produce it and I have to fight with online scalpers to get one.

Downloaded it right when it was available at 9 PM PST. Just got the sword and shield. So yeah, if you were expecting it to just be Ocarina with nicer graphics it does play similarly but differently. You can jump/climb up little mounds and there is the jump button itself. It feels way more fluid. Looks great. The bushes you hack through are much taller and look like nettles.

And the voiceover stuff isn't as complete as I thought it would be. You just get it throughout the opening and then the same little weird Japanese noises we come to expect from a Zelda game when you walk up to villagers and talk, getting just text.

I don't think this game uses the Switch 2's motion sensors so I don't see any reason not to just use my pro controller, which seems to work fine. Apparently when you get the Ocarina you can kind of hum or whistle into it and Link starts playing the song you want.

So is it like Samus Returns? Having the same story and ideas as the original game, but yet being a very different game.
