You know all of those women who talk about how they're looking for "Mr. Right, and "Prince Charming"? You ever notice how not nearly as many men talk about "Miss Right"? It's because she's so hard to find, most men don't even know she exists.

Trust me. She does. It's kind of like The Lottery.

I kinda feel like giving up now.

I think I speak for everyone here when I say: tell me more.

How long were you dating her for?

If it helps, I was joking. In fact, I'm a chick. A happily married one who married her best friend. I don't know if guys who think like Peanut are the majority, but there are plenty of good, honest guys out there who don't generalize about the evils of women simply because they've had a couple of tough relationships.

You're right.

I generalize about the evils of women because I haven't had any relationships.

Well over a year, almost 2 years.

I knew you were a girl I was mostly focusing on the "doctoral quote"

Sometimes it does seem like guys only think of girls in two ways though....those that think girls are only there for their short term amusement...and those that think all girls have alterior motives.

anyways, as this thread proves, their are bad apples on both sides. Too bad we have to weed through so many bad ones to find our perfect one....and even then there are no promises.

Oh Doom, you and your quest for women

Well, I'd better talk about my experiences -

I have none.

I have not been on a date or anything, and I honestly don't care. My heart for love hardened a long time ago, but it doesn't mean that I still don't yearn it. The natural instinct for women is to find a man who will protect them and comfort them in times of need, to be passionate, and include her in his life. Honesty and similar interests are an unspoken must as well. Unfortunatly, with our dancing mafia penguins spreading the trend, some men are turning into the opposite of this - unwilling to listen and protect, unpassionate and excluding, and probably won't know the girl he is going out with. I'm not saying all men are like that, but there is that kind lurking around out there.

There is no such thing as the perfect man or woman. It is like a perfect world; the world may not be perfect, but that is what makes it so beautiful.

Don't worry those who have not found true love. We will find it someday. Unless we turn up to our first date looking like vampires, or holding a gun to our date's forehead

The perfection I speak of when I think of the perfect man is highly subjective and relative. Perfection to me is someone who I find interesting....someone whose stories and experiences I never tire of hearing, and who thinks I am interesting to talk to as well. Really, that's all we have at the end of the day. He's someone who will let me take care of him. Some people will say I'm crazy. but I am not a material person.

I don't need a millionaire. I'd gladly live in a cardboard box next to my perfect man. He does not need to be a model. He could be burned all over his body and still be perfect to me. I don't need prestige....or some guy who is the male version of me. That would be boring.

Oh. So that's what I did wrong...

Eh, asking me about true love is tricky. Depends on what day you ask me. *shrugs*

I think some people are just lucky that way, and some people aren't. I'm in the 'not' category. But whatever.

I agree with Jo Dawn. I'm not sure everyone finds true love. At one point I thought I had found mine but I realize now I was wrong. Doesn't mean that I won't someday find that special person but there is no guarantee that I will either.

Cripes...that's awful, Spit! Why on earth would anyone want to do that?

You know I have to go along with what Jo Dawn says...I just don't seem to understand why the ladies seem to treat the good men so terribly and always seem to like the jerks in life.

I mean...obviously this "Brian" dude was a jerk to do such a thing with someone else girl (even if it was a long time coming.) I'll be completely surprised if it lasts a long time. He'll probably leave after he has his way with her a few times. What goes around comes around. that need be the only revenge.

My experience in love...tho little...was awful. I only shine in personality...and i'm not considered very beautiful. All my "male friends" ended up falling for or dating my cousins. I was always the "best friend" so to speak. the one the guy would come to and aske me advice about what my cousin liked and how to win her heart *sighs* I was a very heartbroken girl.

Untill.....I met KROW. I was very broken and words ment nothing to me. you can only be lied to with "I love you." so many times before you stop believing it entirely.

It took KROW to show me that all the good ones weren't taken. It's the one time in my life I've felt....worth something to someone.

I hope you find something like that, too, Spit. Everyone deserves to be treated with respect and everyone deserves to be loved. If you're a good guy I have no doubt you'll find that special someone!
