There's just something disturbing about the feral twist in Mike's rather innocent-looking features. Yeah, Leo has a mean "gotcha" look and Raph's tiny grin is downright sadistic, but the contrast isn't there to add that feeling of something being... unnatural. Don't get me wrong-- I like the poster. It reflects a special quality of Mikey's. He can go from playing with action figures to smashing your skull in 3 seconds flat.

But Don? The Turtle Has No Face? haha

I like that Mikey's face is capable of something other than a dopey grin. His action figure is creepy, but this new poster is sweet.

Not seeing the no-face Don, though. His mouth isn't open so it's less visible, but his eyes are easy to pick out...

The trouble with anybody who got to know the TMNT through the cartoons is that they didn't have the original characters to compare them to, so they were suprised if there was ever any hint that Mikey had a "dark" side.
Personally, I don't have a problem with the different manifestations, not even the original toon, any more. They are appealing at a different level, but it obviously was a simpler world with simpler rules, just the same.
In the original Mirage comic arc, the TMNT were respectably powerful in the original story, each with his talents and weaknesses and dealing the dregs of humanity. Mikey fooled around and was witty, compassionate, and so forth, but he was obviously not stupid or incompetent. Not did he act like he was on Prozac all the time. He had his moods.
Somebody came up with the theory of Mikey having his own version of the "drunken master" technique. Coming across as not very coordinated when in fact he was in complete control. This confuses the opponent, and they underestimate his fighting abilities. Then the opponents are left wondering what the heck just happened. Heh.

Raph's got that feral grin thing happening... Leo's got a warrior face. Cool but fierce, maybe?

Don has no facial expression, is that what you meant?

Don does too have a face and expression! It's the angle ...I can see little hints of his mouth...it's closed. And from the angle we see him, you wont see much of his big geeky mouth anyways.

There's one thing that bugs me, minor detail...why does the top edge of the bandana stick out away from the sides of their head? I'd think they got good enough at tying them to prevent that.
And Im wondering if we will see them without bandanas...or out of 'uniform' as just plain ol mutants.
