I'm sure there would be tons of bitching and moaning from some that Karai has just s**tted on the holy Shredder by donning the outfit. But if it's done right, there will be a slightly stronger voice of approval to balance the complainers.

I think Karai taking over the Shredder's costume is cool...like avenging his death and carrying on his ledgend...she did it in the cartoon..whats wrong with the movie?

I can see it pleasing the fans and seriously messing with the casual moviegoers. Personally, I think I'd rather see Oroku Saki return.

I fear the fair-weather fans would again hate on our turtles. However there are fans, many on the drome boards, who would love to see Karai, myself included. However they decide to do it, I pray the one in charge does it right.

Yeah I guess only us hardcore fans would like it....but thats really all that matters...theres thousands if not millions of true fans,so as long as we are happy then TMNT will always be a succsess.

Thats the problem with a series like TMNT...it has so much back story that if your just a casual fan/movie goer your not gona fully understand things.

Kinda like Leo being away in training,like he did in the toon series....you have to fully know there history and the way they work as a family to unserstand why he was away and why its big deal.

The cartoon is it's own thing, the movie prefers to follow the comics a lot closer, and what occurs in them

Shredder is just the mantle, different individuals have taken it up in different incarnations.

I'm not saying the art sucked or that it was poorly written -- I don't like the concept of cyborg Donny and Leo Skywalker... and apparently neither did Mirage. It was fine, even great for a side what-if kind of thing, but I just don't like permanently messing with the characters like that.

I like what I have seen of the Image stuff. But I think it's a bit too much for movie material.
