Oh, Jesus...

Stupid people talking about Turtles. Stupid people correcting other stupid people, whilst being completely wrong. Sounds like a Gamefaqs board, alright.

Ignorance hurts my head... ow...

Sometimes it makes me want to re-register on GameFAQs just so I can crunch those noobs with my "I've been a TMNT fan longer than you've been alive!"-ness.

Sounds like some are bitter that we didn't get a live action movie. Like, "Oh I didn't get to see a fourth live action movie so I'm going to be a trolling tool!"

Just don't let fake fans get to you is all I can say.

Well on the bright side the poll for the day on gameFAQS asks "What's your all time favorite Beat-Em-Up series" and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is winning with only Dynasty Warriors really close.

they have no idea why they had to make the CGI!
I feel flustered enough to make a little chart, lol

1) I remember reading they tried to make them with real people but in the real world they were obviously out of place, so they made a world for them to thrive in

2) Compared to other movies they have to compete with now a days, they HAD to use CGI instead of people in poofy costumes like they did in the late 80s-early 90s

...113th) They needed to try it out for the big fans!

you're right, Neutrino... I can't let them crawl inside my shell.

What do these people want? for something to never evolve?? It's great that tmnt has grown with the times. We have technology now which allows a realistic portrayal of the turtles as they were meant to be - I love the live action, but the turtles were supposed to be small and slender but muscular, not human size and bulky.

Some people need to get over themselves and accept that there is a natural life to these things and they grow the same as everything else.

Three cheers for Spit for holding the fort so well!

Agreed. I'm thankful enough that the turtles came back in '03 after a seemingly eternal hiatus. I would actually reread the comics, replay the movies and games, and look at the toys wishing it would return and was ecstatic when it did. I admit I had my doubts about the new film being CGI, but after seeing the trailers I quickly changed my perspective.

These people are simple-minded and petty.

I still prefer my 2K3 Konami games.

That's the only response I could come up with...

The Goon? I didn't say Ralph!.. and I prefer to be called the Snootch if someone's going to shorten my name.

Oh... and to be on topic. TMNT posers are dumb. I've said that many times both online and offline.

I was twitching with irritation while reading the first post alone. Wow, talk about not being able to use a correct punctuation..... Having those "man" and "Jesus" put in suddenly made me just close the window - I couldn't stand reading it...

Heh. Yeah, but at least they're better than most of the jabronis from the TMNT groups on MySpace, who think that the OT is the be-all, end-all of the turtle mythos. Not only that, but to them, if it's not the OT, then it's not worth a damn.

I haven't even worked up the courage to follow the link in the first post yet, but I can definitely identify with the "OT is the be-all end-all" phenomenon.... Every single one of my friends that I show the new toon to or who I saw the new movie with inevitably asked "why didn't they have the theme song?" It makes me want to scream every time. Why would the new cartoon have the old theme song on it?? Lol. Another friend made me a little nuts just a few days ago, complaining after seeing a total of three episodes of the new toon that they don't talk about pizza at all, and that she misses the pizza. My only TMNT-savvy friend and I explained that the new toon is less goofy than the old, but she wasn't having any of that...she was convinced that pizza was an utter necessity. Argh.

OMG, edit, I just went and actually read some of the posts. This bit killed me: "Now, they may have been in the Archie comics, but those are not the real TMNT and are for kids." Clearly this individual thinks that torture of main characters, intricate politics, religious philosophy, war, lots of blood, heavily implied sex and Nazis are all things for children. That's just what I could remember off the top of my head, having not looked at those comics in a few years. Yes, the Archie series was light and silly at the start, but by the end it was f-ing good.

I don't know if I can bring myself to read more of that message board!
