The Beginning
TMNT version: 1987 cartoon.

This is a fanfic based on the 1987 TMNT cartoon, and the back-story.

I don't own the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles or other TMNT characters. Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird created them in 1983-1984, and later some other people created other TMNT characters.

I know Pluto is no longer considered a planet, but I call it a planet here and consider the Solar System to have 9 planets, because the term "dwarf planet" is just a term humans invented in 2006.

==Part I: Krang's Escape==
A very long time ago in the distant galaxy of Dimension X, Krang lived in the Technodrome, located on a rocky planet where Krang once was born. Together with his friend Berserko, Krang designed a mobile fortress, the Technodrome. They also developed the transport modules, drilling vehicles used to burrow in the ground with. After that, they somehow became enemies. Krang cooperated with many others of his species, since most of them were his freiends. However, some others of his species, fought against Krang.

Krang and his friends wanted to conquer all planets in Dimension X, and rule them.

Because of the many wars Krang started together with General Traag, many there became tired of him. General Traag tried to protect Krang, but it became more difficult when more and more intelligent species attacked Krang. One day when the Technodrome was under attack, Krang and some others were wounded and some of them lost most of his lizard-like bodies. Instead, they had to use bubble walkers, or some kind of wheelchairs. From that, Krang never let General Traag enter the Technodrome. Instead, they contacted each other with communicators.

Later, Krang discovered Impervium, a Dimension X substance which together with Dimension X technology could create a forcefield to protect the one who was inside it from any weapons. Because Krang was under attack and didn't want his enemies to learn how to use it, he used to teleport the Impervium substance, which looked like a diamond, in an experiment. He tried to teleport it to another part of the universe, where the people seemed to have less technology, but they never knew where it was sent and it ended up on Earth, in the mines of the Minas Gerais district in Brazil. The Christians on the Earth had the year 1889 AD then. It was the same year Brazil became a republic. However, it wouldn't be discovered until 100 years later, 1989 AD when using the same chronology. Krang and his friend never managed to track down the Impervium substance again.

Suddenly, the entire Technodrome begun to shake again. It was a new attack from Krang's enemies. All Krangs friends escaped quickly, but Krang wasn't in time to do it. Instead, he quickly took food, water and a communicator, and moved in his wheelchair towards a small life pod space shuttle. He launched the small spacecraft and escpaed. Krangs enemies watched Krang escape, and stoped to attack the Technodrome. However, the wars in Dimension X continued.

Krang was now inside the spacecraft. He didn't know where to go, but he know he had to leave Dimension X, which he did. When the spacecraft ran out of power, it drifted through space uncontrolled for a very, very long time. Much later, he was in another galaxy, which was fairly unknown in Dimension X, expect from seen in the most high-developed telescopes in Dimension X. It was the Milky Way. Suddenly, Krang reached a planetary system where 9 planets and some small asteroids and orbited a yellow dwarf star. It was the Solar System, and the yellow dwarf star was the Sun. The spacecraft Krang was in crashed towards the third planet from the Sun, the Earth. Krang saw the continents and islands, and then oceans, lakes and rivers. He though to himself that this planet must contain much life. The spacecraft crashed towards a New York City rooftop one dark rainy night in September 1974 AD, Christian Earth time. Krang wasn't wounded, but the spacefraft was damaged. The rooftop was a part of an abandoned warehouse in the New York City docks districts. The only human to notice the landing was a man who hide inside the building. A man who just had arrived in the USA from Japan, Oroku Saki. Oroku Saki went up the fire escape towards the rooftop, interested in what was going on. It couldn't have been a police helicopter, he thought. He was wanted by the police for crimes in Japan, crimes containing robbreries and thefts, and prison could wait if the police found him.

From the rooftop, Krang watched much of New York City, thinking this planet was a very primitive civilization, at least compared to most planets in Dimension X.

This is part II. We put the clock back some years when beginning.

I don't own the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles or other TMNT characters. Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird created them in 1983-1984, and later some other people created other TMNT characters. However, I own the truck driver in this chapter.

==Part II: East and West==

By the late 1960's, Japan was no longer suffering from the damages of World War II, which was now more than 20 years ago. The eceonomy of Japan had grown strong.

At the countryside in Japan, the Foot, an old martial arts organization formed in 1583, still existed and the student Oroku Saki challenged the gentle man Hamato Yoshi for the leadership. Hamato Yoshi had trained martial arts since he was a small child. His first sensei was Mogo-San. Hamato Yoshi later trained students.

One afternoon in May 1969, the Foot dojo was visited by a sensei. Before he entered the room, Oroku Saki managed to pin Hamato Yoshi's clothes a to the wall with a knife, preventing him from moving his back until he removed the object. When everyone saw it was a knife, they thought he tried to kill the sensei. Hamato Yoshi was exiled from the Foot. Oroku Saki went towards the telephone and called the police, but Hamato Yoshi managed to escape and run out of the building. Then, he ran home and picked up all money he had, and then he went towards a nearby country road. When a truck appeared, he waved and the driver stopped. Hamato Yoshi asked the driver if he was going to or through Yokohama, and if he could hitchhike with him. The truck driver told Hamato Yoshi that he was going to Yokohama, and that he could hitchhike with him. When arriving to Yokohama some hours later, Hamato Yoshi went towards the harbor where he saw a ship, ready to carry people and goods over the Pacific Ocean from Yokohama, Japan to Seattle, Washington, USA. The dusk had just arrived. He had a plan. When noone saw him, Hamato Yoshi sneaked into the ship. When the ship set off, he hided himself in many places during the trip. He sneaked into the restaurang to steal food and water. He didn't like to steal, but he had to do it. He had some money, but was reported to the police and could be recognized by someone if they saw him.

Many days later, on May 31st 1969, the ship arrived in Seattle, and Hamato Yoshi sneaked out, once again without being noticed. Hamato Yoshi was now an illegal immigrant in the USA, without his passport. The following time, he lived on the streets of many cities in the USA, and hitchhike with trucks. First, he lived in Seattle, before moving to Chicago, Illinois in July 1969 and Cleveland, Ohio in September 1969. In October 1969, he had reached New York City, where he begun to hide in the sewer system. He had no friends, expect for the rats.

Meanwhile back in Japan, Oruko Saki had became the Foot leader. Oruko Saki trained his students to commit crimes like thefts and robberies. The Foot got much money from the thefts and robberies, but was hunted by the police. Those who weren't criminals were thrown out from he Foot.

Oruko Saki was raised in a criminal family. His mother Miyoko was also a criminal. However, Oruko Saki's baby brother Kazuo Saki refused to become a criminal, and studied to become a policeman in Tokyo. In the early 1970's, he hunted his brother many times, but never managed to capture him. However, Kazuo Saki became a martial arts expert.

In New York City, when living on the streets and in the sewers, Hamato Yoshi often found newspapers that people had thrown away, which allowed him to follow what was happening in the world. Sometimes, he could read about the crimes the Foot commited in Japan. Sometimes, Hamato Yoshi got money that people accidentally dropped down into the sewers.

One day in July 1972, when Hamato Yoshi had no money, he wrote a letter to his old sensei Mogo-San, hoping he would believed him that he didn't try to kill the sensei that visited the Foot dojo back in 1969. Mogo-San believe him, probably because he knew Hamato Yoshi very well and Oroku Saki was now famous as a criminal Foot leader. He never told about the mutation. Mogo-San sent Hamato Yoshi a lot of money in an envelope, to an adress in an abandoned area of New York City, where Hamato Yoshi every day the coming days until they arrived. Mogo-San begun to send Hamato Yoshi money some times every year.

One August afternoon in 1972, a small child returned from the pet store with a fish bowl of baby turtles. But accidentally he tripped and fell, which caused the bowl to crash down to the street. The turtles fell down into a drain and landed in the New York City sewer system. They became Hamato Yoshi's new friends. Some days later, he found an old newspaper with an announcement of four lost Turtles, all born earlier during 1972. But he couldn't go to the told adress and leave them back. He could be recognized.

In November 1973, Oruko Saki decided to move to the USA. He managed to get a false passport, and went to New York City by aeroplane. In New York City, he begun to work with a street gang and hide in abandoned warehouses. He also begun to wear an outfit with a metal mask, and call himself "the Shredder".

One day in August 1974, when Hamato Yoshi was up on the street for a while, some of his Foot students noticed him sneaking down into the sewer system, and begun to chase him. Hamato Yoshi noticed he was followed by someone, and begun to run. Oruko Saki's students went back to Oruko Saki's hideout.
–Hamato Yoshi is here in New York City, one of them said. He escaped into the sewers, and we lost him there.
–Continue your search for him, and one day, we will find him and destroy him once for all! Oruko Saki said.

One dark rainy night in September 1974, Oruko Saki was in an abandoned warehouse in the New York City docks districts, when he heard a strange sound from above. Oroku Saki went up the fire escape towards the rooftop, interested in what was going on. It couldn't have been a police helicopter, he thought. He was wanted by the police for the crimes in Japan, crimes containing robbreries and thefts, and prison could wait if the police found him.

But it wasn't any police, it was a small spacecraft that just had crashed, and a small pink extraterrestrial was inside it. Oruko Saki carried the extraterrestrial down into the hideout again.

–Krang! the extraterrestrial said. Shredder understood it was the name of the extraterrestrial. Shredder begun to teach Krang some words in Japanese and English, and soon he could speek with Oroku Saki. Shredder noticed how intelligent Krang was. Together, they begun to plan a conquest of the Earth. Shredder told his background story, that his real name was Oroku Saki, and how he challenged Hamato Yoshi over the Foot leadership. They hided the spacecraft in the building, so it shouldn't be noticed. In October 1974, Krang took his communicator and contacted his friends in Dimension X, who hadn't talked to since he left Dimension X. Krang begun to talk about the Technodrome, and take it to Earth. Krang and Shredder searched underground caves deep under New York City to find out a place to hide it.

–Send the Technodrome to planet Earth, it's my invention, Krang said and tried to tell where in the Universe he was by using the spacecraft's technology, which had a tracking device in contact with the Technodrome's computer. They placed the spacecraft in the cave.
–Now, open the dimensional portal and send it through, Krang said.
Suddenly, a white light appeared in the giant Technodrome appeared. Some of Krangs friends was inside it, but they quickly went back to Dimension X. The white light soon disappeared. Krang explained to Shredder how the dimensional portals could transport people and things from one place to another just within some seconds, if the user knew the technology and where the place was located.

Shredder and Krang begun to use the Technodrome as a fortress. Shredder moved into the Technodrome. But his gang still hided in abandoned buildings.

One day in November 1974, Shredder found some strange chemicals in the Technodrome. He mixed them, and poured them out in the sewer system. Krang warned him, but Shredder didn't listen until it was too late. He never found Hamato Yoshi again, but Krang believed he was mutated if he touched the chemicals, probably into a rat because there are many of them in the sewers. Shredder himself thought it was deadly.

Later that day in New York City, Hamato Yoshi discovered the turtles covered in a green ooze, which caused to them to grow into a more human size. They begun to walk on two legs and learned how speak. Hamato Yoshi drought the ooze from them, and some seconds later a rat touched him. Hamato Yoshi himself was turned into a talking rat in a human size, walking on two legs. The mutation never affected Hamato Yoshi's intelligence, but the turtles got human intelligence. Hamato Yoshi named the turtles after his four favourite Renaissance painters, and the turtles named him Splinter. Splinter thought that other humans would fear the turtles because they were different, so he tought them martial arts to protect themselves if they would come into trouble.

Later, Donatello developed skills to fix most things. When a TV one day that someone threw away fell into the sewers, Donatello fixed it. Watching TV helped the turtles learn more about human life. Splinter also tought them about that, and sometimes they found books who had fallen down into the sewers.

For the money from Mogo-San, they bought their food. When buying it, they ordered it from restaurants and pizzerias. The turtles often ate pizza.

In 1976, two other street criminals joined Shredder's gang, Bebop and Rocksteady. In 1986, most of the gang members moved into the Technodrome. In 1987, Shredder used Krang's technology begun to develop robot machines, Foot robots. However, Shredder still worked with the gang.
