Forgive my skepticism, but how do you know (good to hear tho).

And now we're smack dab in the thick of the CBS runs "mutant of the week" type episodes. I wonder if I could sit through some of those now. Honestly the thought of even watching them again creeps me out.

I'm so glad they are releasing the classic cartoon as season sets now, and atleast making an attempt to collect the 2003 toon in a more reasonable manner than the volumes we had to deal with until recently.

At least they actually were capable of good reference humour, subtle context, and generally faster and more urgent plotting.

Well I just happen to like having new character all the time over say the same people every single week doing the same tired thing over and over again.
Funny or no funny. I just happen to think what cbs did with the series happend to be better than what we had weekdays on fox here in pittsburgh growing up the animation was also allot better while the weekday afternoon episodes look suffered because they where being pumped out so quickly.
I like the entire friggin series I don't see why people always have to diss one part of it I hate getting caught up in this crap.
This is the last time I'm gonna say anything about one thing being better than the next because I love it all from start to finish.

Wow... That's just two many mistakes for me to ignore. Season four aired on CBS in the Fall of 1990. Also, "PLANET OF THE TURTLEOIDS" was actually premiered during the beginning of season five, so...

O_O >_< That's why everyone wanted to see Turtleoids on it! I can't believe I never noticed before. Well... Since Molly Bode's guide is so twisted and backwards, they were bound to be left off.

Anyway, I remember seeing TURTLEOIDS on primetime on CBS at least one more time, possibly a year later. And, USA Networks' Cartoon Express reran it too (that was the only CBS ep they were allowed).

Sucks about the order too. They get the box theme right yet they mess up the contents :/

Oh well. Planet of the Turtleoids would have been a good episode to end the set but aslong as we get it eventually i'll be ok.

We may have to write a letter to get Once upon a time machine on the next set.
I'm calling in a few weeks to voice our concerns. But, since the season set it rightfully belonged to already came and went without it, would it be a really big deal if it was delayed to the season seven set? O_o My reasoning is this: since season five didn't include it, not only will it be singled-out as the only syndicated ep on the set, it'll also leave an even worse taste in your mouth because it's not on the set it belongs with. At least on season seven, it could share some of the credit for being inferior with the 13 Euro-Cruise eps that weren't even good enough to be syndicated. I know it's silly, but it fits, right?

Ooops, I meant season five, typo there....1991 season is what I meant. I must have missed the re-airing in primetime. I did see it re-air once in syndication on a sunday morning about a year or two later. But anyway...I was a crazy guy who used to keep track of every episode USA aired. They aired plenty of CBS episodes in their run (towards the end they even aired season 7)...In fact that is how I recorded many of the CBS eps I was missing from season 4. I recorded the show every day to get eps I missed and I never once saw "Turtleoids" aired in two parts. I actually ended up buying the vhs because USA never aired it. Now that I hear it aired, I wonder how I missed it.

Well, the second (and last, I think) primetime showing on CBS was one of those unadvertised surprise things that I just stumbled onto. I actually rarely watched Turtles on USA. So, I guess I just stopped watching before they got any other CBS eps. All I do remember is that I turned on Cartoon Express one morning to see TURTLEOIDS. I remember thinking "I guess that's the only CBS ep they're allowed to show since CBS won't rerun it themselves while people are watching". While it was normally a block of two TMNT eps, I want to say that I saw it on a weekday.

Actually USA Cartoon Express aired Seasons 1-7. I saw a lot of season 6 & 7 on it back in the day. I also have recordings from it of various many later episodes like Michaelangelo Meets Mondo Gecko and Nightmare in the Lair.

I work at a retail store and see that we get tons of old toon DVDs regularly. They are featured on the feature wall*Rare for cartoon series usually* and when I walk by the turtles section we always have at least 2 of every volume. The new toon DVDs sit around and we still have the first volume FF DVDs that came in, which we only got 4 of and I bought 1 of them. Same with the Season One set.

The interviews are really really good in this set. not to mention amazing and ingenious box art. Very well done! If an episode list were provided, it would be perfecto!

Since I haven't seen it mentioned, and I was very excited about it when I saw, I think people might like to know that
Spoiler:
Townsend Coleman, Barry, Cam and Rob provide interviews in the 18 minute ninjatastic whachamawhosits. Of course, Townsend does the Yosagi (misspelled like that repeatedly during the feature) one as he was the voice.

Dude, they skipped Once Upon a Time Machine, wtf. Good Box design though and I liked the interview with all four turtles. The Baxter one was pathetic though, was there even a point to include it?

Posted this link in the other thread, but I thought I'd put it here since you asked. Enjoy.
