If You Were In Charge of Playmates Toys

If you were in charge of Playmates Toys, what would you release? What I am saying is, based on where TMNT is currently, what would you make and release?

My idea for Spring 2008 figures:

I would keep the Alien Hunter TMNT variants, but I would work on them so they would look better. I would completely scrap the random alien figures that are planned. I would repalce them with movie style versions of an utrom in exosuit, a triceraton, Fugitoid, one of the female aliens from "The People's Choice" episode of 2k3, Agent Bishop, and an EPF trooper. All of those figures would fit in with a space aliens line.

Next, for the summer, I would have a movie style Foot 'army' line. This would mean a movie style Foot elite, Foot Tech Ninja, and a new version of movie Karai. I would also add a movie style Usagi Yojimbo and Leatherhead, even though they don't have anything to do with the Foot.

It would be nice to see some of the Mirage & 2K3 mixed into the line.

I'd release MOST of the rest of the FF toys. Most of them. no vehicles or anything. Just to make completists happy. All the while, scrapping the Alien hunters (unless that is the next show), and making the alien figures they produced a sepperate toy line.

I would then work on "Lost Season" toys, including repackage jobs of harder to find characters (like the Silver Sentry and Robot Baxter).

Plus I'd put an end to the "Wacky Action" toys that cost 10 bucks, since no one ever buys'em.

And to keep the movie line going, I would make Cowabunga Carl and Nightwatcher varients of Mike and Raph, that are just slightly different from the one that comes with the cycle and the head that comes with the Van. Maybe give Mikey a zipper on his underbelly....
