Tons of new TMNT stuff coming (some for adults!)

From ninjaturtles.com:

* 4Kids Home Video currently plans to release the "Ninja Tribunal" cartoon episodes on DVD in North America sometime in the "first half of 2008"!

Raph's Girl note: But...I've already seen the episodes.....

* Ubisoft will begin production on the next TMNT video game soon! At the moment, the plan is for an all-new adventure that's not based on any other project, but the same models will be used that were featured in their movie game. More details to follow as things shift into high gear.

* Plans for the Turtles' 25th Anniversary celebration (taking place in 2009) are underway. A logo for the event is in development as are other special projects. At the moment it looks pretty certain that there will be a special edition reprint of the original Eastman and Laird volume one #1 comic book. More info on the other projects as things become clearer.

* This holiday season, Hot Topic will unveil boutiques dedicated to the TMNT retro merchandise and apparel. Hot Topic will have some exclusive items that feature artwork of Krang, Bebop and Rocksteady and will be an ideal place to find the retro merch!

Raph's Girl note: Hot Topic...wee...time to go to my yearly visit to the Tacoma mall...

* BioWorld has just signed on as the TMNT licensor for men's and women's head gear, bags, wallets, wristbands, belts and buckles. Look for their debut items this holiday season with new products being released on into the new year!

Raph's Girl note: Must...have...TMNT...purse!!

* Edible Arrangements just signed a deal to produce TMNT-themed fresh fruit bouquets! The next time you want to express your love to someone, send 'em a kick-butt (and highly nutritious) Ninja Turtles fruit basket - and everyone wins!

* Good Stuff signed on as the licensee to produce TMNT soft toys for amusement vending and redemption centers. Look for their Turtle items at amusement parks, game arcades and participating retail chains all across the US!

* Kurt Adler will be producing Christmas ornaments that will be available at Wal-Mart this holiday season!

* Kohl's will be hyping the Season One Part 1 DVD set of the current toon this holiday season with front-of-store displays, an ad campaign and more!

None of this is about toys, but all of this is great news.

Without a forum for non-toy collectibles, it's kinda hard to figure out where to post that stuff. It doesn't quite feel like it fits into general discussion. It'd be nice if there were a place for the non-toy stuff.

I'll move this to GTMNTD for now. If there's enough interest in a section for non-toy-related merchandise, I'd be glad to make one.

I'd personally like to see a section that included ALL collectibles, including toys. But that's just me.

Thirded.

Now here's what I have to say. What is the other "merchandise" that hot Topic will have? Their T's are pricey, though a Krang Shirt would be most excellent. If they have plush or something, I'm going to lose it. Too bad the only HT near me is closed for renevations. If they have a Bebop or Rocksteady plush (low probability I know, but that would be amazing), I'd buy those up in a heart beat.

Will the Orniments be available somewhere else? Wal Marts are pretty much far from where I live, all the way out on the highway, and I never get to go to one. I doubt Target would, since they got all their stuff out already. WalMart also has Fozzie, Kermit, and Piggy ones too.

First half of 2008? I hope its before they air them. I'd love to watch them all in order, which is what I tried to do with the second half of FF. I had to miss the episodes to have any interrest of buying them.

Well... The thread title including "(some for adults)" did make me wonder if Rob was disappointed when he read the post. ^_^

The other merchandise will be the Neca figures I believe.

Oh and I like the idea of a section that includes all collectables.

Good idea, I think that would work out best. I can rename the Toy section to something more general and move some threads from here (such as this one, the Halloween costume one, and the random merchandise one) into there. Does "Toy/Collectible Discussion" sound like a good name to everyone?
