Drinking with friends and family is fun. I have done it. A lot.

Getting drunk- alone or with company- is no fun. You spend too much money. The next day you feel bloated and lethargic- and may even have a hangover. Some people do not remember what went on- how good is it to have fun if you do not remember it.
