Finally got Raph, Leo, and Donnie yesterday. Took some pictures, including this one:

Not the best, but hey. it was worth a try.

Now if that's what the actual B&W Turtles were going to look like (not necessarily with the red bandannas, but I do like that look), I would totally be buying them. As they stand, I find the whiteness of them a bit blinding and not representative of the newsprint look and feel of the comic. But I'm happy with my painted Turtles, so I'm not bothered horribly by it.

The internet at my apartment is on the fritz, thank goodness for photo sharing net sites, mom and dad's CPU, and hour lunches.

The guys and their gear.

Shadow warriors.

Another night shot.

With a little light, so you know what's going on.
I've also taken to giving my NECA Donnie my Movie Don's bo. The one he came with seems way too short.

I have a question regarding the extra hands, are the claws/bands sculped on, or just rubber?
In other words if I wanted just a plain open hand would I be able to peel off the claws?
I had gotten the boxset, but my Leo had an...accident, so im expecting the clamshell version any day now, and was just wondering.

I think the claws are all rubber. I haven't looked at them since I moved, though, so I can't tell you for sure.

The claws bare rubber. You can pull them off, but you'll need a little Epoxy sculpt to fill in the gap it leaves. I plan on doing just this with maybe two pairs, just so I have a couple extra different hands.

Thanks guys, just thinkin that a regular pair of open hands would be great for some ninja esqe poses.
Since everyone else is doin it heres some pics of my guys.

Leo had a harrowing fall from a shelf he survived..barely, sadly his katana did not fair so well.

sorry for the blurriness my cam sucks, as for the size of the pics, well im just too lazy to shrink em down.
if there too big I will edit em later.

PS, seeing as I didnt get bases I decided to dig around my marvel legends box for some, still gotta find a good one for Leo tho.

Here's a question; why doesn't Leo come with a bonus item? Raph has the throwing blades, Mike has the sawblade-looking shuriken, and Don has the mutagen canister. Leo has nothing... unless you count the hydrant, which wouldn't make any sense because that would be like counting the street light for Raph....

Probably because he has the extra-detailed belt rig with the scabbards for his swords.

That's the excuse I heard. The scabbards = bonus item for poor Leo.

I agree that Leo should have come with a little something else, the question is what should that something be?

It seems like it has taken me forever to have time to actually get some photos taken and posted of these guys. I guess that is the down side to working two jobs.

As almost everyone else has already said and found out, these are great figures and the best TMNT figures ever. While few of you need me to tell you that, I thought I would add a few photos of the tube style packaging and some other misc photos.

review and photos

Read it & loved it.

Question: Anyone else hope that the Mousers are going to be mass market and not only for SDCC?

I have a feeling they will be. It might just be the 3-pack that's exclusive. For all we know there could be a retail 10-pack or something.

As an exclusive it is probably one of the coolest and one that I am most excited about, but I can see many troop builder collectors will want many. I probably will get 2 sets of the 3 packs.
I doubt they will be completely exclusive though, they might not have 3 packs but that is just easy money for neca to mass produce them.

Excellent review tmntman, and I really like the pic of the different Raphaels at the end.
