5 year anniversary: I've watched TMNT every day for 5 years now...

21.06.2003: I keep records of everything I watch and on that day, I found some old VHS tapes with TMNT on them. Thus began my rediscovery of my old childhood friends, the OT TMNT.

<-Not long after->: I discover that OT TMNT is the solution for my sleeping problems. I struggle with inner anxiety and going to sleep is difficult for me but TMNT helped me a lot. It became a daily ritual to watch TMNT to fall asleep.

21.06.2008: I haven't skipped TMNT one single day. I have currently watched the entire OT series 27 times.

I suppose in reallife^TM this sort of thing would brand me a pretty big loser but in here it makes me some sort of a hero, doesn't it? Yet, were you to ask me the names of the actors, I couldn't tell you...

I think we can call that a world record, unless someone else claims to have gone longer, which I doubt, haha.

Holy cow, I consider myself a hardcore TMNT fan but I don't think I've gone a full month of watching it every day.

Congrats I guess

Yes, sure I'll keep it going. For how long I don't know but I consider it therapy more than simple entertainment. And a daily ritual.

And it's not about TMNT in general... I couldn't have watched the NT daily for even a month, although I do love that series as well. There is something special about the OT series. Its lightheartedness, the voice casting, the personalities, the dialogues, the reoccuring themes, the campiness... I have serious issues with sleeping, and staying asleep, and the OT has saved me. Sort of. I do sometimes get a little bored but I don't know of any better alternative. I wish there were far more episodes. Then again, the last part is my least favourite.

and the tmnt have helped a serious problem yet again!

glad to know theyve actually "helped" someone other than me

i have a special place in my heart for the things the TMNT have helped me out with through the years, not directly, but they've always been the light at the end of a dark tunnel one way or another

literally, when i get upset, or something is going on thats really mentally hard on me, i can do something TMNT related, play a game, watch the cartoons/movies, heck even browse this forum or surf the net for pictures and toys and fanart... and every time, not once has it failed, it will calm me down and make things easier

keep up the watchin man, i use to do the same thing (but on a much smaller scale) with the movies

Aren't there some other lighthearted cartoons from that time (like Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers/Darkwing Duck/Duck Tales/He-Man and the Masters of the Universe/Tales Spin) that you can watch to avoid getting bored?

Wow. That is something. I honestly don't have that kind of dedication to any beloved franchise. Now I feel inadequate as a TMNT fan. I going to go eat some pizza with peppers and marshmallows glazed in pineapple juice to redeem myself.

Sounds like a terribly boring show, then!
