Sorry to do this to you spazzy, but I'd bet money that once it is done, you'll find another reason to continue to collect

The vintage stuff.....nope, that will be it, I never cared for the 2000-current stuff, but I will continue with the Neca stuff.

I grew up with the turtles in the 88-93 era so that is mainly what I cared about, but the neca figures are very cool, so it will be easy to collect those since they aren't exactly flooding with new figures like G I joe or Star Wars.

So I just got, among other things today, the Ray Filet figure carded. I can't see anything on the figure about its vest changing colour in water, which I swear was a feature of it. I recall reading something once about there being two vest colour variations; I don't recall which was the one I got eighteen years ago, but I know it changed colours. This one is blue and yellow.

I'm certain someone here knows what's what... any help?

Also: Is $25 (+ about $8 shipping) a good price for a mint carded Metalhead Michelangelo with an unmint carded Robotic Foot Soldier?

Yes Ray fillet did change color at first but it cost Playmates to much to produce so they changed it to a stable blue and yellow color chest.
And yes that's a great price for those 2 figures.

Hey any time, there's a few differnt color change Ray's btw.
Ray w/ Purple chest and red V w/ color change.

Ray w/ Red chest and Purple V w/ color change.

Ray Yellow chest and Blue V now color change.

There are also a few box variants stating things like color change and some that don't have the label as well and a differnt number of figures on the back of the box.

First one might be my original one... I'd have to find him to confirm.

Last one is most definitely the one I just got. Which of the three are considered more uncommon?

And how much does Metalhead Michelangelo typically go for? I see one going for $99.99 on eBay right now, but I'm not certain if that can be taken as anything more than insanity.

The Color change ones I guess could be considered more rare but both are really not to hard to find, to me it seem the things that are harder to get ahold of are re-releases.
I sold mine for 50.00 some time ago, but I really honestly have not seen them go for more than that.
The person selling the one for $99.99 is FootBallOrangeGuy I believe and he's a total creep, I would suggest no one on this forum ever buy him.

It's not from the U.S.A. It's a foreign(japan I think) only figure.
Along with Dark Devil Shredder.

Turkish is talking about one of the japanese exclusive releases spawned from the Japanese OVA cartoon. The turtles had the ability to combine their powers to become The turtle saint for a short period of time. Basically a silver super hero with wings. Also exclusive to that line was the Dark Devil Shredder.

The US release "Metal Mutants" and the "Super Turtles" were also originally Japanese releases from that same line.

EDIT: Damn your quickness Vaughn! *shakes fist*

He isn't trying for the entire vintage line...just what he grew up with. There are only a select few people that are anywhere close to having the entire 10 year vintage line, most of whom have been collecting since 88.

I just got my carded Warrior Metalhead Michaelangelo and uncarded-but-still-came-with-card Robotic Foot Soldier today, and noticed some bizarre things about the card backs.

With Warrior Metalhead Michaelangelo (W.M.M. for short), It shows a completely different coloured W.M.M on the back, kind of a silver-ish with lime green arms. Furthermore, standard Metalhead is listed as "Metalhead Michaelangelo" (without the warrior part). Also, there are a number of figures presented that I know for a fact were never released - Demolition Specialist Donatello, Convert Specialist Raphael (who looks exactly like Raph, the Green Teen Beret from the photo), Communications Specialist Leonardo, Submergence Specialist Michelangelo, Warrior Rahzar with Fur, and Warrior Rocksteady. Furthermore, there is a repainted Robotic Bebop that is named Warrior Bebop. Was Warrior Bebop not the Warriors of the Forgotten Sewer figure? And finally, Sergeant Bananas is listed as a villain.

With Robotic Foot Soldier's card, the front looks exactly like W.M.M.'s in design (the last, if I recall correctly, basic card design, with Don swinging from a rope on top-left, Leo climbing the wall below him, Mike below Leo swinging his nunchaku on the ground, and Raph on the sewer ladder on the top-right). However, the flip side, except for the bottom third, looks exactly like the old 10-backs.

I'm pretty sure this is all common knowledge to most of you, but this is all news to me.
