I wouldn't mind seeing fun TMNT again, as long as it's tongue-in-cheek like the new Batman cartoon. As long as it can exist alongside the serious TMNT that I also want, I'd be prefectly fine with a fun TMNT show.

Not Baby TMNT, though.

I think this guy is just pulling legs. He's not serious about a TMNT babies series, at least I don't believe.

I'm sure he's probably been reading all the whining on the cartoon lately and has gotten tired of it (not that I blame him). So he created this as a satire.

I concur. A Brave & The Bold version of TMNT might be a fun idea.

Even if it was a great show, it's still a huge step in the wrong direction.

You guys are NO FUN AT ALL .

And (playing the devil's advocate) how do we KNOW it would be a "huge step in the wrong direction?" I mean, what if a TV show was done that was to the quality of say... Shrek (which was a kiddie movie that dealt with adults and adult-level humor really well, I thought). Would that be the wrong direction for the Turtles to head in?

Yeah, it probably would. But it sure would be FUN.

And I'm all about fun. And come on. "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Babies" is a hilarious idea. BECAUSE IT MAKES NO ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE!

PS - Y'all can be all "TMNT need to stay dark and realistic and true to their roots" that you want. And I agree with it, for the most part. But picture a Baby Shredder, trying to steal the Turtles toys. Just think of that. HOW FREAKING HILARIOUS COULD THAT BE?

Of course you can! Anything for you, Vaughn.

(It's only caffeine, though. All the rest of this is just naturally me. Scary, I know ).

PS - It would still be hilarious, though. And picture baby Bebop and Rocksteady. And infant Krang. INFANT KRANG! IN A TINY TECHNODROME! YEEEEEEEEAAAHHH!!!

Rocksteady, Bebop, and even Shredder were changed to infants in eps of the original series...as were the TMNT in several eps. And everytime it happened the adults suddenly became uncles (Unca Splinter! Unca Krang! Unca Shredder!) or aunts (Aunty April! Aunty Irma!)....to this day I have no idea why they refered to Splinter as their uncle.... Shredder was the only one to maintain his adult mind when he was changed (after being pushed in the fountain er uh lake of youth). Krang thought he was cute tho...

yeah...I can't agree with a whole series about baby teenage mutant ninja turtles. It just sounds like a muppet baby rip off. But an animated movie or an episode would be entertaining.

I'm still sticking to my idea of taking OT characters and re-launching them in a "The Brave and the Bold" type of cartoon. It's silly, it knows that it's silly, but it's a fresh take on the silly side of the TMNT that wouldn't cringe at the thought of a few years later when it's no longer fresh.

However, I would want to wait until the TMNT have a reputation similar to Batman. Everyone knows of Batman's dark roots now and except that as the status-quo. However, when people think of oldschool Batman, they think of the campy Adam West and Superfriends stuff. So, when "The Brave and the Bold" hit TV, everyone knows that that isn't normal, but just a fun take on the character inspired by his Silver Age comics (after the dark stuff but before Adam West) that should be taken as-is and not as the definitive version of the character.

So, when people think of the Mirage comics as the definitive version of the TMNT, I think it would be safe to make something a little more fun and campy just for the fun of it and it wouldn't ruin everything a lot of people have worked for in terms of the reputation of the characters.

Careful, Will, I might have to draw that if I get bored enough...

I enjoy the toddler turtle episodes immensely, I just don't know if that would work in a full show setting. Kinda like how the SNL skits got turned into movies and bombed...

Do it! Do it! Do it!

I think that is a BRILLIANT idea .

Of course, I also think the idea (which I just had, just now) of TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES BABIES, a cartoon TV show, directed by FRANK "I AM TOUGH AND GRITTY" MILLER would also be great.

Can you imagine baby Raphael, as written by Frank Miller?

"I'm gonna slobber all over your blankee until it's all kinds of wet."

Stuff like that. GENIUS!

Seriously, though: I totally think you should draw that.

Sing a Song of Superheroes!

Well, as long as the topic has been raised:

I think Kermit pulls off a mean Donatello!

OH

MY

GUAH

...

If this baby show did happen, it would probably be enough to kill TMNT for me. Like seriously, I'd turn to a new fandom because a Muppet Babies TMNT cartoon would be ALL kinds of WRONG.

This is the kind of idea that the Technodrome's member Guitar_Raph would come up with.

I'm going to hope that Leonardo Mystic is right when she said that this is probably one big joke out of bordom to stir up attention in the forums.

(Fozzie kinda was the one that was Donatello... Bean Bunny called him Fozzatello and... well, whatever. Fozzie's VA was the same dude that was the alternate of Donatello, BTW)

Plus, as much as I like the show, those later episodes were beyond weak. I did like the Nintendo one, though.

No I wouldn't want a ninja turtle baby show. It will ruin the fanbase plus it will be worse than the next mutation.

Okay, okay. Okay.

But...

for everyone of you old-school, street-cred head loyalists who cry that it would ruin the franchise, I'm willing to wager there would be a hundred (if not a thousand) four or five year-olds who would see Ninja Turtle Babies come on on Saturday morning and think it would be the most amazing thing ever.

I'm thinking of them. Not the limiting views of any one purist person's fandom.

And, it would still be funny. And totally adorable. I DON'T CARE WHAT YOU SAY!
