TMNT II, The Arcade Game for NES: Soundtrack S-T-E-R-E-O Edition

Back again with another release. This time it's TMNT 2: The Arcade Game for NES.

The 5 channels consist of the following:

1- Main Left
2- Main Right
3- Bass
4- Drum Brush or Rustle (Can’t think of the exact musical term)
5- Drums

Unlike TMNT 3 for NES, the drum brush channel was barely used, so I kept it in the center this time.

To create the stereo image, the channels are placed as the following: -80 (1) -60 (3) 50 (4) +60 (5) +80 (2). Think of -100 as full left and +100 as full right. The goal was to create an even listening experience across both ears, so one side wouldn’t have all the music while the other had nothing playing. Channels 1 and 2 often ‘harmonized’ with each so that’s why they were spaced most apart.

The track list is as follows:
01 - Intro 0:11
02 - Character Select 0:58
03 - Apartment Building 2:18
04 - Boss 1:46
05 - Building To Downtown 0:09
06 - Downtown Times Square 2:07
07 - Downtown To Sewer 0:04
08 - Sewer 2:19
09 - Sewer To Central Park 0:05
10 - Snowy Central Park 1:49
11 - It's Springtime 0:09
12 - Turtle Soup 0:08
13 - Parking Garage 2:17
14 - Madison Square Avenue 2:19
15 - Highway Expressway 1:49
16 - House Of Shogun 1:36
17 - Technodrome 0:08
18 - The Technodrome 2:44
19 - Krang 1:23
20 - Shredder 1:59
21 - Epilogue 0:21
22 - Ending 2:00
23 - Game Over 0:05
TOTAL TIME - 28:44

BACK UP AS OF 04-21-13!

Feedback, comments, thoughts, suggestions; all are welcome, in fact it helps me, the more input I get. Enjoy all!

I have to say, I'm very disappointed in the TMNT community here. After 102 views and 40 downloads according to my download tracker, only 2 people have actually said thanks for this.

As it stands, I don't think I'll be doing the rest of the game soundtracks, since people can't even be bothered to take 1 minute out of their day to comment and leave feedback. To those who do appreciate this and have commented as such, I'm sorry.

Don't you remember what I said last time about the view count? It is pretty much meaningless, so you shouldn't base anything on that.

As for the download count, that one is more accurate and I can see your point there, but you still need to take into account that this forum is viewable by guests, so the majority of downloads are probably from them. And, unfortunately, I doubt very many of them would register just to say thanks.

If it's very important to you that you only want people to download these if they post a comment, we could temporarily move this to the Announcements section, since that one is only viewable by registered members.

Well I said thanks in one of the other threads you made, and I haven't even downloaded the files yet

I don't post often and probably even thought this was the same thread as before. I do appreciate it since I will download it eventually.

But yeah this is the internet you can't expect a lot of thanks sometimes especially when first available but overtime people appreciate it more.

A shame if you don't continue it but its your decision after all.

Ooh! Thanks for the reminder. For the past week, my PC has been w/o internet connection. So, I planned to say "thanks" when I got back on my own hardware and downloaded it. Now, I think I'll just say "I coulda done better myself". Respond well to pressure, don't I?

Thumbs up Well Done!

This is truly well done. Mixed just enough to add another dimension but so true to the original. Simply Awesome.

I know this is a REALLY old thread but I just found it. The original poster hasn't even been on the boards for like two months, but anyway, the music sounds really good. I am sad all his other files no longer work. If you see this, good work man and thank you!

It seems he already did in 2009, but the links no longer work. Hopefully he sees this and gets them back up again. Or maybe another member might have them from make then and can re upload them

Finally got to listen to it. I'm not tech savvy, but I think it sounds more pleasant to the ears. I guess that's stereo compared to midi(?).

Thanks again.

Love this soundtrack. Some of the best tunes to come out of the NES era. And one of the reasons The Arcade Game stands superior to The Manhattan Project, to my way of thinking.
