I dont get it. I thought Bebop, Rocksteady and the rest of the ''old toon'' crew were owned by a different company and therefor could not be in the game? Isnt that why we had Tokka and rhazar instead of Bebop and rocksteady? Someone fill me in...

I'm pretty sure they all belong to Mirage in one way or another, but Eastman and Laird just don't want to use them in anything besides the Old Toon. They fought tooth and nail to NOT have them in The Secret of the Ooze, which is why we got Tokka and Rahzar instead. They could have been in it, but the original creators didn't want them.

All characters of the old toon are owned by Mirage. I don't know who made up the rumor that they weren't, but that's incorrect.

And in what venue are you referring about us "having Tokka and Rahzar" instead of Bebop and Rocksteady?

I believe he/she's referring to the 2nd live action movie. However, that was because they didn't want to use the watered down OT version which the studio insisted upon, so they created Tokka and Rahzar in their place.

Oh Lord, me too. I've already had a co-worker pull that when he saw the Mirage Leatherhead wallpaper I had on my computer about a year ago. He said "That's not f***ing Leatherhead! Since we haven't seen Donatello in such a video yet, my guess is that Donatello, Leatherhead and karai will be in the next video. Maybe also the fugitoid, but I'm not sure on who a possible fourth character in the video would be.

I would have just said, "This one came first, asshat." I like the old toon and all, but I really hate people that don't understand that it's not the definitive version of the Turtles. For that matter, I always hate when people called it "the original cartoon", because it implies that it's the starting point for the franchise and negates the validity of the original comics, which really WERE the starting point.

Anywho, I predict Karai and Donatello will almost certainly be in the next video.

That doesn't make a difference to me. I call it the original cartoon because it precedes the other cartoon(s). It doesn't in any way usurp the comics to refer to it that way if you are using it in comparison to other TMNT cartoons.

Incorrect, sir. This is a defensive imagining. That term only means that it isn't the other cartoon. Now, calling them 'the original TMNT' is a different matter.

That route seems to work best. Today my friend, who loved the OT, had me explain the original volume 1 comics to him. I told him the basic story that the creators wrote (1-12-ish, RtNY, CaW) and about the existence of the many guest stories in between. He became very interested in reading them so I told him about the comics on ninjaturtles.com. If I had been an ass he probably wouldn't have become interested at all.

I hope that's BS too. While it won't stop me from buying it, I will be pissed if their in there and characters everyone wabts (Bebop, Rocksteady, Krang, etc.) aren't. Even then, 2? 1 is more than enough.

I feel similar about this as I did the Star Wars characters in SoulCalibur IV. While the SoulCalibur series has prided itself on its random guest characters in SCII and the spin-off SC Legends, there was no reason to put three Star Wars characters (well, technically two plus one optional) in the game. There were thousands of other series they could have had guests from, and they felt so out of place.

If UbiSoft really wants to pimp the Rabbids (who actually are only semi-popular at best. They're pretty funny and all, but I want my damn Rayman platformers back!), they should just make UbiBrawl. Make the roster up of stuff like Rayman, the Rabbids, Jade, The Prince, Altair, Ezio, the guy from Red Steel 2, Sam Fisher, and maybe for good measure, licensed characters Shredder and Ben Linus as the main villains. I really don't like the idea of Rabbids in Smash-Up, though....

Yeah I think most of the anger is that its a potential 1 or 2 character that could have been another turtle character. I don't care for the Rabbids being included except for the fact that its potentially taking someone elses place.

Who knows for some reason I doubt they'd have a new demo with different playable characters so soon. No doubt they'd unveil them first or at least they wouldn't in a demo they'd be secret unluckables or something. If anything if it was indeed a new demo it would include casey, utrominator, foot ninja etc that haven't been in a demo build. not a new character. Hoping the rumor is false.

I see nothing wrong with them in it other than Yoda's disppointing to play as. There are better choices, but I don't see any problem since SC does random cameos from time to time and at least this was better than Heihachi in II (That was just plan lame to use another Tekken character).

Anyways, at the very least the Rabbids should Ninja Turtles themed (one with a Shell and bandana and one with Shredder's helmet), but a Sam Fisher and cheerleader? WTF?! That's just dumb.
