TMNT Halloween costumes

So I'm sure nearly everyone here as been a Ninja Turtle for Halloween, most of probably 2,3, or 15 times. But me and my girlfriend were thinking of going as Casey and April this year.

We wanna go all out and make it as epic as possible though. Does anyone have any ideas? We were thinking April from the original cartoons, as it's most recognizable, and a blend of Casey from all universes. We need most help on the yellow jumpsuit for April.

Pics of any Halloween costumes can go here too

I'm putting together a Casey Jones costume as well. Does anybody know what type of shoulder pad Casey wears? I can't seem to find anything like that.

Thanks for all the pics!

We actually found a pretty good yellow jumpsuit at a thrift-type shop just now. Just gotta hem them a bit, tweak them a bit, maybe add a few more pockets, and it should be pretty close.

I don't know what kind of shoulder pad Casey wears, but I don't think it's hockey. I'm still looking though.

What type of foot soldier? Original Comics, Old school toon, 90's movies, 2k7 Movie or 2K3 toon?
I was a 2K3 Foot ninja last year and came out pretty good. Let me look for a pic but in the meanwhile enjoy this video...

A girl in our school class in the third grade had a coat in which she looked like a blue-colored Foot soldier in "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Arcade Game". We used to call her Foot soldier for a while. I don't know she heard, or ever known about TMNT Foot soldiers. For those unfamiliar with TMNT, the term "foot soldier" refers to infantry in a country's army.

I was originally thinking the 90's movies, but if I could find a way to pull off a sweet old school cartoon look that'd be sweet.

The costume in the video looks like it's pretty simple to pull of. You would probably need quite a bit of purple fabric, purple joggers, and a black shirt, plus some foil for the forearms and paint or red fabric for the foot emblem. You know what would be awesome? If like ten people made the same exact costume and they roamed around the city all badass about it...

You should take some pics so I could see it.
Anyways I got a lot of help from my girlfriend so hats off to her for being such an awesome girlfriend.
Anways we used:
1 pair of black jogging pants, fairly snug
1 black long sleeve shirt
2 generic black gloves-just cut the fingers off
2 juice strainers for the eyes (make sure they are fairly small and take out the handle not the circle that holds the mesh)
4 shin gaurds ( I went to a local thrift store) one pair being slightly smaller for the forearms and the other being longer for the legs. I then painted them a matte gray (they were white originally but I think any color would work)
5 Feet of gray sturdy fabric to make the vest along with some black spandex which I used for the mask and the middle part holding the Foot emblem. The Emblem is very easy to do just get a very small amount of res fabric and cut out the foot shape and sew it onto the vest.
I hope this was helpful.

Joanne Fabrics or any other Fabric store in your general area. Since I don't live close to you by any means you should look for a local place as they tend to be significantly cheaper.
