Turtles Forever - Talkback Discussion Thread - Page 10

Well I finally got to watch this on my DVR. I will say that 4Kids redeemed themselves for the horrible BTTS with this. All the turtles fought and they weren't in any special uniforms or anything. I laughed when Ch'rell punched OT Shredder/Krang and said "Restrain these buffoons!" My thoughts, exactly.

And then it was funny when Hun asked Raphael who he was talking to.

I didn't like that Hun never got changed back to human. I really liked everything up until Shredder grew really tall at the end. I wanted to see a good, final martial arts battle between the turtles and Shredder (although he was unfairly outnumbered). So that final battle was a dissappointment. I wanted an old school 2k3 style fight scene against Shredder. So this, by no means, had one of the better fights from the entire series. However, I did like this movie much better than BTTS and most of FF (and even the bad episodes from 2K3). I'd definitely buy it if it came out on dvd though. I am going to watch it again later tonight so I can get a better feel for it and see what all I missed. Overall, I was pleased with it and found it to be a much better ending than the wedding episode.

Loved the new ending, and...thankfully I can't for the life of me remember enough from SDCC to know what is, or isn't, missing from this.

Just a note, folks...

AS a rule, we can't bring up downloading movies or episodes. Please be careful about this. With the new ownership of the franchise, Viacom may be a lot more hostile about downloads than previously with peter and CW. Keep it to PMs or off-site.

I don't mean to be a party-pooper, but we don't want to get the Drome into trouble...

Out of curiousity, doesn't Peter Laird still own the company for the rest of the year? I thought I read that somewhere.

He still owns Mirage Studios until the end of time. Viacom took full ownership of the TMNT the day of the announcement.

No, because 4Kids retains the right to air the cartoon through August 2010.

It's a transaction period. 4kids can air TMNT until next fall and air anything that's finished. They can't make anything new.

Now someone PM me why people keep whining for PMs!

I just can't believe Nickelodeon is buying this! besides FF and BTTS, 4Kids did a terrific job! Nick better make one hell of a toon!

NTNM = people liked at the time, but it didnt last long

2k3 = good

can u see the pattern?

this is what a bunch of vids are saying now:

"This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by 4Kids Entertainment, Inc.."

so its not Viacom... yet

I'm just happy we got a legitimate ending before Nick bought them. Now I couldn't care what they do with it as I have my ending.

In my opinion, after seeing the movie, I would LOVE to see one done in the style of the original comics.
