I haven't gotten in to this mini-series, but the cover for this one is awesome.

I just confirmed with my LCS that it's out today. I can't pick it up right now, but it's waiting for me in the store.

I skipped my weekly trip to the shop today because I thought I only had 1 issue in my box (Sonic the Hedgehog). I might make the trip tomorrow since this is supposed to be out, apparently.

I'm particularly interested in the Baxter scenes, more than I was before.

To be honest, the Baxter scenes are all that's keeping me interested in this series. Even though I know how the story has to end (it's not like Baxter's gonna escape or anything), I'd just like to see more banter between him and Donatello. That's all I'm really here for.

T-1000 cockroaches? Eh, take em or leave em.

Exactly why this story should have been about subtlety and psychology rather than action. We know where the story ends fifteen years later, and it's some creepy sh*t. I want to see what led up to that, not a side-story all set during the beginning of Stockman's solitude.

Maybe it can redeem itself in the last two parts. It's a shame though, especially since Lawson has consistantly been one of the best "deep" Turtles writers, to see this series take such a straight foward aproach.

I didn't find this today. If not by next week, I might order it from Mirage.

Well... it doesn't deviate far from form on the first two issues here. Donatello spending most of the issue fighting the latest incarnation of the robot with a few short but compelling interactions with Baxter. Actually an interesting cliffhanger... what do you folks make of it? It doesn't resemble Baxter's door that he goes into there... so where is he, and who's he talking to?

Also, it's interesting to see the fine print changes here.

"Published under license from Viacom International, Inc. by Mirage Publishing" and "All contents are (c) Viacom International, Inc" and so on.

My Review.

Still boring, but whatever.

I've only read the first issue and never got #2 or #3 yet, but its a shame because it sounds like this turned out disappointing.

What a waste of potential. Baxter being kept alive for 20 (?) years by Donatello had a great idea behind it, but both Laird and Lawson didn't even delve into it.

Didn't even need to be any fight scenes in this. Just scenes with Donatello visiting him occasionally over the years, us as readers just sort of catching them at different times. Perhaps Baxter plays Hannibal Lecter-like mind games with him.

You know. Stuff.

Let's hope at least the story ends somehow explain WHY Donatello kept Baxter locked up there after the fights with robots... and why he would chose to keep him there for the upcoming years.

Don't have the issue yet, and probably won't until the end of the month, but...

Spoiler:
Post-"City at War" Don uses a gun and no point is made of it? That should have been a major moment for his character, and it's really a slap in the face of continuity to gloss over it.
