Watched the 2nd part again this morning. Anyone else notice the guy wearing the Bebop shirt when the new Technodrome attacks?

You know, watching this movie kinda makes me wish that 4kids did a continuation of the OT. The animation is really good.

Edit: One thing I find funny though is how they exaggerate the OT characters all except Splinter.

I don't think there was ever any reason for them to exaggerate Splinter as Splinter was always dead pan serious. Even when he did wacky things.

I really enjoyed the whole affair--best TMNT cartoon I've seen in a long time, if not ever. I think they overplayed the goofiness of the original TMNT characters a bit too much (and, on the other side of the coin, made the B&W originals a bit too gritty/rude). I would also have liked to have seen the 2K3 Baxter interact with the fly mutant version, not to mention the Aprils, Caseys, etc.

Anyway, it was a fitting 25th anniversary tribute to the TMNT, and, if it ends up being the last TMNT cartoon ever made, I'm happy to say they went out on a very high note. If only the TMNT franchise (in general) was handled with this much care/fan-service on a regular basis . . .

Definitely the best TMNT movie I've seen in a long time.

I found the scene with OT Splinter and NT Leo and Raph very touching.

Which episode was that in? I don't seem to recall anything like that in the OT, so now you have me curious.

Either "BLAST FROM THE PAST" or "THE OLD SWITCHEROO"... I always forget which is which, but it's the clip show with the museum exhibit of the urn of Shibano-Sama and Splinter performing the Cur-ly Maneuver.

It was "Blast From The Past" and Curly was one of the Three Stooges.

Oddly enough, I don't remember that, but man, that sounds so totally out-of-character for anyone but third movie Splinter!

Here's another thing about the movie that bugged me: the monsters the OT turtles fought in their universe. Seriously, those things were so lame and cheesy, even by the OT standards.

Mutant bowling bowls? Weird. Mutant pizza? Okay, that's maybe feasable. Mutant leprechauns? LEPRECHAUNS? That's where I draw the line.

Would it have killed them to use monsters from the actual show? Cement Man? The REAL Pizza monsters? The electricity monster?

Seriously, I wouldn't have minded the other monsters, but the leprechauns pissed me off.

In as much as the scene called for low-level threats for characters, yes, it probably would have killed them to use iconic, classic 'toon villains. Then, they'd be accused of writing more characters incorrectly.

Two Ton resembles Rocksteady's human form.
