@ ToTheNines: Trust me, I know. It's gonna be a while before we see a DVD release, but that doesn't stop me from wanting it faster. I'll forgive Nick for just about anything they want to do with the franchise if they put it out on DVD, though I still would like Shout Factory to put it and the old toon (since LionsGate's releases has issues from what I hear) out.

I was glad they went back to the no-pupil look too, but it would have been nicer to have the original 2K3 designs back completely. Other than them having switched and gotten used to the new designs though, I think they may have kept with the BttS style to further show that Forever takes place near the end of that series, or after it.

thanks gobo and raph's girl for the answer, now help me with this
name all the turtle quotes
When OT Raph says "mine like a steel trap this one" to hun, the OT Raph originally said that in Season 1 about April
when NT Shredder says "Then So Be It" that was originally said by Super Shredder after Leo said he had to listen to reason, he was going to kill them all
When Mirage Leo says "We strike hard and fade into the night" that was from mirage vol 1 # 1
when mirage leo narrates their first action it is similar but not exact to his narrating their mirage vol 1 #1 fight against the purple dragons

Am I missing any?
When Shredder tells Hun "Find those those that did this to you, and bring them to me", I was thinking that's from something else, but can't put my finger on it.
thanks for the help, i havent read anyone else look for all of these, and i'm surprised no one has

I think Turtles Forever takes place at the end of the series. I recall seeing some storyboards in another thread here for Turtles Forever Part 3 and it had a production number that followed BttS and Turtles Forever Parts 1 & 2.

Rocksteady says "With great pleasure master Shredder" and he also said that in episode 2 of the old toon. Also, there's "That was an easy fix." I can't remember who said that, Bebop or Rocksteady? I could be wrong, but I think I might have heard that line somewhere in the old toon.

[QUOTE=Gyt Kaliba;742684]@ ToTheNines: Trust me, I know. It's gonna be a while before we see a DVD release, but that doesn't stop me from wanting it faster.

Yo ma dude. i have to agree with ToTheNines on this one. We all want this out on DVD right now, but it is what it is. Peter Laird sold the product before the movie could ever get a company to distribute the movie to DVD so A: it's gonna be a long while till we see it come to DVD and B: it's a waste of time to want it any faster when its obviously just not gonna happen at the moment.

I don't think Lionsgate has issues with the releases. Since the TMNT product has been sold, now what Nickelodeon says goes and they're currently starting from scratch so until Nick gives the word, Lionsgate can't continue the releases nor can FUNimation in Australia continue the releases either. If Funimation in Australia could continue, then i'm sure Turtles Forever would be released there first before here in America.

As much as you want this to come to DVD, if you think about it, it's on youtube so as long as its on youtube + CW4kidsOnline, you can just watch it there and worry about the DVD release later. After all its not like you can't watch it.

I'm pretty sure Gyt was referring to the skipped episodes.

I don't know where you heard this, but Viacom has no more say over the distribution of the classic 'toon than Laird himself ever did, which is to say "none". Laird can't sell rights that aren't his.

Gobo its reeeeeallly hard to explain bro lol and i dont think this would be the thread to explain it in but to keep things simple, if you want to see Turtles Forever we can just simply watch it on youtube. the DVD release can wait cuz we'll already have it via the websites its on.

I know it's a waste to want it sooner, but that doesnt' mean I can help it. I want just about everything I like on DVD as soon as I can get it - nothing wrong with a little eager anticipation after all.

And yeah, I meant the skipped episodes. Like I said, I would LOVE for Shout Factory to get the rights to put out the old toon on DVD. No skipped episodes, awesome extras, and all in one or two boxsets maybe. I doubt it, and it would cost an arm and a le - aw heck, it'd cost an entire body and SOUL - but I would love an entire series set, like Shout Factory did for the old Transformers toon. They could make the box a Turtle-com or the Turtle Van or something. Or a canister of ooze - just something that reeks of cool and win.

As for it being online, that's true, but there's no telling when it'll get yanked down from it's various YouTube accounts, and when it'll be taken off of the 4Kids site too.

Wow, so I have to say that was the most excellent homage/send-off that a Turtle fan could hope for. I have loved the Turtles since I was young and it was good to see them all in action again. I even got my wife to watch and enjoy it too

Seriously though, this was an amazing feature. I admit I am not as familiar with the 2k3 Turtles but by the end of the movie I was loving every bit of it. There was just so much to take in. I have been gone from anything Turtles for awhile and it felt good to see this after being gone for so long.

My favorite part was definitely the Miller-esque Turtles and their spot on representation of the narrative style of the old books. Oh, not to mention that Raph's frequent forth-wall breaking outbursts had me in stitches everytime (especially when Han berated him about it). I would have love to have been here for the last few years but this movie made up for it.

Here's to another 25 years

Someone had once brought up the unexpected assumption by the 2003 Turtles that "the one, true Shredder" was the Utrom instead of the Tengu. While I hadn't recalled this at the time, the 'Shredder Wars' scene in "Tempus Fugit" shows Ch'rell calling himself this. Not an Earth-shattering discovery, but I thought I'd share anyway...

Thanks, man. I was the one who brought that up. It's good to know.

Well, I just found out about this an hour and half ago and I immediately had to see what it was then report back to my old haunt (hint: here) to see what others thought.

I smiled all the way through.
