While you can also find soft heads without the paper inside, that's the easiest way to identify them while still in the package. Hope this helps you, if in doubt ask me anytime.
I see. I was just curiouse. The back of the box, pictured, had "fan club offer inside" written on it, and the "Package printed in" matched the TMNT database. So, i wasn't sure if it was just some elaborate hoax or what.

I was very skeptic after having read your post, as to my knowledge, aswell as probably everyone else here, such a figure was never made...

But from the looks of the picture, he is in fact, soft head...

footballorangeguy is pretty good at uh..."marketing"
I find it pretty hard to believe that Playmates brought the soft heads back 3 years after the OG Turtle release of them didn't work out, but I am no expert. Just remember neither is he.

I don't want to speak for sam, but the seller has a tendency to call everything "rare" whether it is or not. Plus he is a gouger to boot. I can't count the auctions I lost to him (back when ebay used to tell you who the other bidders were) just to seem him instantly relist it at ridiculous inflation. I mean some of us just want to have a nice collection, not crush people on price because you can be on ebay all day.

Take a look at this list:

http://stores.ebay.com/footballorang...34Q2ec0Q2em322

None of these are "Prototype" or "Test" figures. True, some of them are a bit harder to find than the average fig, but about half of them I got, in the exact same condition, for anywhere from $50-70 cheaper from other merchants.

His prices are very high. But I have bought 5 figures time ago when he opened some auctions and I paid $9 for figure aprox.(I think is a good price) and he send me 2 originals cells for free.

But should be very frustrating when you are always outbid by the same person and he only want to make bussiness with them.

BINGO! Thats exactly how his auctions read. It can be very misleading for someone with limited knowledge of these items. I've seen several people purchase items of very little value with his high buyitnow prices. This one transaction in particular made me a little sad. He listed a regular black belt slash (the most commonly found variation) of very little value and listed it as though it was super rare. Some poor soul probably believed it and used the $70+ something BuyItNow button to purchase the toy. Ouch! If you want to sell something it's perfectly alright to ask whatever price you want for the item, but to use words in your listing that could fool someone is not cool.

Well maybe if no one cares I'll start doing the same thing. Attention everyone! I have a napkin for sale. It's not just any ordinary napkin it's a super rare and hard to find napkin that also grants you wishes. Anyone want to buy it for $500?
