So I am making the switch...

I am moving from pen and paper to a bamboo tablet for digital art. I am super excited for this. Any one else have a tablet of any kind and does digital art?

I have a sh*tty Genius tablet, but it gets the job done. Making the initial switch does take some getting used to.

I just use photoshop. it works for me. I dont go on it that much i still prefer the good old fashion way of drawing and painting.

See I hate using colors like painting I feel I cant bring out what my mind wants so I trash "finished" works. Hopefully this will all be a learning thing and some magical way I decide to like color and better apply it to the image.

Everyone is dif when it comes to coloring. I will somtime draw a pic scan then color on photoshop if im in the mood. But i mostly just color by hand. I just turn on the radio or put a movie on sit back and draw or paint and lose track of time.

Tablets are pretty awesome once you figure them out. I've been using one since I was in highschool (something like 6+ years ago), and I'm still learning different tricks. Part of that is making the move from a crappy old Wacom basic to a BIG Wacom intuos4 tablet.

You might find that combining both traditional and tablet based pieces is really beneficial. I still use both.
