Believe me, I wasn't saying "But they've always had three toes!" I was putting that image out there since some folks seemed to be unsure of what others were refering to.

It is quite a strange move, this proper toe-at-the-front business. But to be honest, it doesn't really bother me in the slightest. Nor does the bandaging/wrappings. Nor the blades hiding in chucks/bo...

It might not seem that bad in the full-cgi stuff, but it's kinda creepy in the 2D drawings and the action figures.

I just want to know one thing:

Will there be a "Classics" line of figures based on the OT?

Actually, I lied. There's a lot more that I want to know, but I'll just wait.

EDIT: Nevermind, I saw the other thread! Yesss!

I really want to know more about this "unanimous thumbs down" issue. Any info without specifics.

Also, can you put the turtles voices, best to worst?

Are Mike and Raph's voice actors veteran oice actors? Would we recognize their voices?

I'm not seeing the "3rd toe" in the 2D designs....
*looks harder*

Don't think I can fudge even a hint at it - sorry.

I don't think I can without being biased, especially after seeing the table read. Seeing them outwardly express themselves while playing the roles was really cool. <3 Mikey ^_^

I'm pretty sure I recall previous voice credits being given for both of them.

That's the thing! In all the images that we had seen before getting there (basically all the stuff you've now seen), it looks like the normal two toes! There were Turtle footprints all up and down the sidewalk outside of Nick and those looked like the normal two toes, too. Then we get inside and start seeing the 2D concept art and the animatic and the three toes thing suddenly shows up and is very consistent. But I'm still thinking, "well, it's just all unfinished art..." but then it showed up on the action figures and it was like, "ehh, what?"

I'm not looking for hints, just how you personally feel about it and how the others in your group felt about it. In the most non-specific description possible, why was it a "dealbreaker" for one guy?

So I guess the action figures pretty much confirm that the turtles WILL HAVE 3 toes in the actual series. Oh boy...

Ehh... I kinda already answered most of that and said all I can without getting specific.

Can you at least confirm that the unanimous thumbs-down was NOT about the extra toe on the front of their feet?

I'd bet the dealbreaker thing is a character design/description. Like April being a kid or something.

I'm curious as of what exactly is Nick taking from you guys. The designs are already done, the tone and story basics are settled. Any imput for the story would be seen well after the season has started. So maybe the interviews are for the merchandise/tie in and advertising angle? Will they use all your answers to... come up with a slogan?

No, that's not the one I was referring to. I don't know the group's overall feel about the 3rd toe.

No, that was only a very small part of the discussion.

How long is the NDA for? I hope it wasn't, I'm not expecting it to be over until the first reveal or the show starts I just hope its not for like 50 years or something. Even after the show airs I'd still like to read in detail about what was shown. So you guys better start writing a full detail heavy review right now when its all fresh that you'll publish 2 years later

Vaughn said more than enough for us to piece together what playmates is planning, I'd love to make a thread about it but I feel like I probably shouldn't...

No time line was given, and it's really not even *that* specific, but I think everyone is being overly cautious of not accidentally saying something that wasn't meant to be said. The show is still in pretty early development, so they probably just don't want people flipping out over stuff that isn't set in stone. Probably the only reason I've allowed myself to talk about the third toe is because it is clearly visible in one of the images that they gave us. Did they think that that was going to be an issue? I don't suspect so.

Oh, but they do own our images, and they took plenty of pictures throughout the day. I will be curious to see how/if those get used.

Now that is the embodiment of a "real turtle fan". Someone I know would do well to remember that.

Well with some of the character changes that were made to create this new TMNT "Re-imagining" they might as well have. See the thing is, they may take a lot of what we told them into consideration and make a lot of changes, or it may stay the exactly the same, I have no idea....I can only hope that they do. Maybe changes will be made and I'll end up falling in love with it, but I absolutely hate for the most part, I can count on one hand what I found to be likable points. But that's just me. I'm tired of "accepting" and "getting use to" things. The original formula isn't there, it's not all about aesthetics. Yeah there are four Turtles, yeah there are other characters present that I don't know if I can name. But they are completely different.
