I've always kind of dug that "ninjitsu" is an inaccuracy. Lends the story another level of fiction.

I'm not a fan of April looking like a 10-12 year old even if she's supposed to be 16.

Make her taller, give her boobs if you have to, just don't make her look like some 12 year old girl. Its bad enough April is so young, but at least make her LOOK like a teenager, not a little kid.

Seems random to me. Just make her Shredder's biological daughter. Have her train since the earliest age possible and have her fight alongside him against them.

Great idea lets make it like every other incarnation of the turtles! I mean that sounds a lot like 2k3 to me. Sure I'm not a fan of Kraangs being a hive mind and not a single being but I'd rather take that than have the same version of the turtles.

And Splinter having a daughter is such an awesome plot device, I mean its not like they are just doing it randomly, they probably thought of this great idea that will give us plenty of neat stories whether she's Karai or not.

Doubt she'll be Karai, And you have to understand that a lot of this isn't set in stone so it could change.

Or just don't make her anyone's daughter, student, whatever and let her be the powerful, driven woman she was in the Mirage comics.

Heck make her a foil for Shredder that could be awesome!

It's weird to me that so many people here are so against April being a teenager but are so ready to stick Karai in this sub-servant role again like she was in 2k3???

Also April as a teen could work and rather well as long as they make her a well rounded and developed character and she not just "the girl" there to appeal to girls so they will watch the show.

The show is a "mutation in progress" and some things may be tweaked a little bit but if anyone actually thinks that major things will be changed are way too hopeful. The show airs in a year and a half which seems like a lot but you don't get an episode from one day to another, its a lengthy process so for the most part most things are final by now, at least the basic premise of the show obviously episodes are another thing.

Sadly I doubt we'll see the Kraangs being changed which is the only thing that bothers me, and at best April might be made to look a little older but she'll still be a teenager.

That's something I wonder too, is the turn around for TV CG animation less or about the same as 2D hand drawn animation? I mean the models are there, you don't have to re-draw them for every episode....(show just how much I know about animation...
