Turtles Forever to be released UNCUT in the UK - Page 5

Longtime lurker here, extremely looking forward to this release. (Already pre-ordered it!)

I thought I'd register to clear up the confusion regarding UK and Region 2 DVD's. (Which will give more of you the chance to import this!)

As a previous poster mentioned, most DVD players will play Region 2 DVD's, or they have an unlock code available online that you can find by googling your players model number.

In regards to PC DVD drives, they do indeed have region locks on them, but you can get around this by watching your DVD's with VLC. VLC is a free program, like Windows Media Player, that can play almost any video format. Just pop any region DVD into your DVD player, open up VLC, and you'll be able to play it without having to change the region code on your PC drive.

A question. can anyone tell be about the deleted scenes? I got the movie from Best Buy last month and my son has watched at least once a day since.

I'm going to hold off buying this just in case a U.S. region 1 version gets announced by Nick soon.

I've double dipped on TMNT DVDs so many times now I don't want to get burned again.

With 4kids filling for bankruptcy protection I doubt it will be seen in North America any time soon.

4Kids no longer has a stake in anything TMNT. Though I equally doubt that it will be released here in the near future, if ever.

I was in Holland the other day, and I noticed they had the turtles forever DVD! It's not the new version, but the old one: it even has the same (crappy) dvd cover. I never new that turtles forever was released as Region 2 in Europe.

Just order it, its only one dvd. I thought about this too but we could be waiting forever, back then i thought 4Kids or Nick would release the season sets but that didn't happen so i had to shell out a lot of case for the Aussie releases. Since this is just one dvd, its definitely worth it.

Why, if ever? The first DVD was probably too far into production for Nick to change it.

The fact that they actually are having the movie re-released in another country through a different company shows they know their is a complete version.

And, that different company being a non-profit organization rather than the UK branch of Paramount (who normally handles all of Nick's releases in the UK) suggests that this release is wrapped in red tape.

I believe it takes about a week to ship from UK to US.

Could also be the Region 1 DVD. When I visited Holland I found out that they mostly sell Region free DVD Players and also have many Region 1 DVDs in their Shops. So I wouldn't coun't on it being a Region 2 Release.

Btw. Ordered the UK DVD should be here any day now

The disc art is awesome. so is the image inside the DVD case. Nice to know that some companies still put artwork on their discs. It's a pet peeve of mine when studios just use grey discs or the clearish ones with just a title.
