Hmm...Paramount Home Entertainment huh? Makes one wonder if we can expect it over here not soon after...

What? A man can hope.

First the UK, then Australia...

I have a pretty good feeling this will make its way to the US at some point.

Great, I suspect a U.S. release over here too.

I think the first DVD was just too far into production at the time for them to stop it. They likely just released that one quickly for kids to make some quick cash.

The fact that this release has:

- Uncut
- Widescreen
- Cover art
- Disc art
- All the bells and whistles

Suggests they really put effort into this. The only extra thing I would have loved was an interview with Lloyd Goldfine from 4kids, but that's probably too much to ask for.

We already have a U.S. release over here.

Btw. Ordered the UK DVD should be here any day now
Well, it did have a Dutch cover on the back and not the English original version.
I should have took a better look at it.

Not a bad DVD. I felt a bit shortchanged in not having any extras besides a Chapter menu.

Aside from that, I'm content to finally have this feature and on Region 2 too. An uncut TMNT item in my country - That's a turnup for the books!

Can provide sleeve scans on request. Won't make them too big.

Hey, is there any background music during the menus on that DVD? If so, can you provide me with some sound files or a video of the menu?

Nope. If I'm not mistaken, it's the exact same, static menu as the R1 DVD, all the way down to the chapter thumbnails. I was hoping for some menu audio as well.

I'm about to buy it just because the cover is better. I might hold out for the AU release. If it gets a second US release I'll be surprised. Even if Nick blows my socks off and releases a 2K3 series set I doubt the movie will be included. Then again maybe they have more brains then WB. No idea why the Batman sets didn't include the movies.

The menu is silent.

Interestingly enough the end credits start out as the unused theme song for 2K3 and then into instrumental peices for Fast Forward and BTTS.

Exactly. Nick will release TMNT stuff once their TMNT stuff is out there. When they feel it's a viable property again. Although I heard a rumor that they're going to go in and reanimate an extra toe on all the turtles... Which sucks. Especially for all the old 4Kids toon stuff.

J/k.

Since Paramount is handling the Australian release instead of "Best Medicine," I'd say it stands a strong chance of being released over here. Why would Paramount go through this trouble to release a complete DVD in countries where the 4kids series wasn't even that popular?

Did the full series ever completely air in UK and Australia?

Really? wow... If you don't mind saying, where are you located? I'm pretty close to DC and figured I'd get mine the same time as every one else, in not before some of you.

Or did you pay for expited shipping?

Was there ever a version of "Turtles Forever" released in the UK or Australia like what we had in U.S. before this new, uncut version was released? Because I have very little hope that we will get this version over in America. Nickelodeon knew of the full version well before they decided to release their half-assed version in the States, so I doubt that they would go through the trouble of issuing an all new version for the few completist fans who want it in America. I think they have a "it's good enough" mentality about the whole thing. Of course, I would love to be proven wrong (and would happily purchase this uncut version IF it did get a Stateside release) but right now I think the chances are small. What I REALLY want more than anything though, is the rest of the season sets for Season 3, the first half of Season 4 and "Back To The Sewer".

Yes, the complete 4Kids series was shown by Network Ten in Australia.

No, Turtles Forever has not been released on DVD in Australia before.
