They probably tried all of them but wanted to keep the video from running too long.

What I find funny about that video is that they dissed Mikey at the end of the episode yet Leo, Don and Raph were just as guilty of coming up with disgusting pizza toppings.

Mikey made most of the pizzas...he was the resident Chef. Speaking of chefs, I wonder if they did the Wolfgang Plink pizzas...I can't remember off hand what they were, though...

Got a link to that? I'd love to see if he has any reactions to this video.

The video did not need to be 12 minutes long, fun idea but it should have been 3 minutes top.

Ah, it's all good. I figured if they all were willing to suffer all those bizarre pizza topping combinations, then the least we can do is sit down and watch them suffer.

I'd be curious to know if they just ordered a whole bunch of plain pizzas and then thew the toppings on themselves or if they actually ordered some of those bizarre flavors directly from the parlor.

Looks like that's exactly what they did....decked out a bunch of basic cheese pizzas.

Though it'd be hilarious if they had a clip of James asking for one of the most bizarre.

And have it delivered to "122 & an 8th?"

Most of those bizarre toppings were quite nasty and I wouldn't eat it if you paid me. I do admit some would be quite edible such as pepperoni and pickles. I did remember the ending of one episode which I think was "Turtles, Turtles Everywhere!" was when Mikey spotted some potential toppings at the recycling center. Really, Mikey? Getting toppings from the dump?!

Fortunately, the bizarre pizza toppings in Turtles Forever was limited to that one time when the OT Turtles went to that Pizza Parlor. I'm sure the 4Kids Turtles would have been grossed out.

David Wise Responds!

Here's Wise's take on the pizza video from his Facebook page:

Quote:
So, Bryce Malek, remember when we were sitting around in my living room on Ethel Ave, and I was talking about how I needed ideas for weird pizzas for the TMNT pilot I was writing?
CUT TO: Twenty four years later....
Michelangelo’s Pizza Taste Test

I love poisoning twentysomething hipsters!

Gareth: Not all of those were mine. My usual formula was to take something that absolutely, positively did NOT below on a pizza, and put it on a pizza -- with anchovies. Anchovies are the grossest thing God ever put on this earth.

BTW, I know for a fact there was one pizza they did NOT try -- probably because it would have been impossible. In one episode I had Michelangelo serving up a pizza with anchovies and BUBBLEGUM!

Me eating pizza and the REAL Ray's, the best pizzaria in NYC, where they shot a scene from the first TMNT feature. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?f...type=1&theater

Thanks Bear. I guess you're right, but man, was that ever NOT the way I intended to leave my mark on the world!

Yup, where's the credit for Powder, eh?

I'll bet he was just reposting it himself so everybody would know what his take on the subject was.
