Actually, in one of the videos he mentions how screwed up the 4Kids DVDs were...I think he watched it too.

Considering he also doesn't seem that fond of Leo and Usagi and Leo has similar personalities I am going to guess he just doesn't like that type of character

I'm not big on Leo, but I did find Usagi to be cool and to have him on the same level as the annoying Mr. Ogg is insulting. ><

These retrospectives are great if you're in the mood to watch something TMNT related, but don't want to start up one of the animated series or don't have the time to watch one of the movies. Perfect for a quick TMNT fix.

I hate OT Leo, but love Usagi. Even if he were an annoying character, his episodes were well written, action packed, and had good animation. IDK what James is thinking on this one.

I wonder if he knows Usagi is an independent comic book character with his own long running title.

he's going to make videos throughout summer. May is over and he's done talking about the 80's toon. he owns the 2003 series on DVD.

Well, he technically didn't say that he didn't like him, he just said he didn't care for him as much as other characters. I'd say he's probably either completely neutral about Usagi or he likes him, just not as much as other characters.

I really do hope he does do something on The Next Mutation. My memory of that series is extremely vague. I remember liking it. I used to tape it and watch it when I got home from school. I was in high school at the time, so I never got home in time to watch it, usually and for my second year of HS, I was usually pretty busy. I remember Venus and liking her character because of the magic aspect to it. I remember there was a crossover with the Power Rangers. I remember Mikey not having nunchucks and using tonfakata. I remember Mikey hitting on Venus like he wanted a date and Raph not liking Venus. I don't remember anything pertaining to enemies, plot, how they met Venus, etc. So, if James does do something on TNM, it'd be a nice refresher for me.

I didn't even find him [Usagi] annoying...but the fact that he put him on the same level as Mr. Ogg is just wrong to me. ><

Oh, and I had nothing against OT Leo either. I did used to like his heroic speeches and sense of honor thing, but, of course, for me, Raph and Mikey were the ones I liked (as a kid). Leo was boring to me and Donny was just there. Since going back, I like OT Donny!!

I reviewed TNM in a thread here about a year ago or so, I'll probably update it when I re-watch TNM again.

James said he'd continue through out the summer so I'm guessing he'll continue at least through all of July. I don't think he would re-touch on stuff he's already covered especially since he compiled all the links of his previous TMNT videos after his first update. He already touched upon the first two movies in the third movie review and now in the OT review so I doubt he'll cover them again. Turtles Forever was also covered for the most part in the OT review so who knows if he'll review it separately, not much else he can say about it. James only mentioned he was going to watch all of the OT, he never mentioned any other TMNT media, I doubt he'll cover the anime or TNM at least not in a full review like the OT. 2K3 there is a chance since he did show the DVDs but I'm guessing it won't be a full series review and just some of the episodes he saw? Obscure stuff like the Manga is probably not going to happen, but forgotten/rare/weird stuff like merchandise from the late 80s/early 90s is a possibility if he owns it. I'm sure he'll cover the Mirage comics though he's already kinda gone through with it a little bit in the OT review and I doubt he has a bunch of issues, I'm sure he just has a few including the color one he keeps showing when talking about the comics. Archie comics might get a small mention not a full retrospective. I'm guessing the videogames will probably get a video, he's only talked about the first one. You have to remember James loves the turtles but he isn't a hardcore fan like say most here.

He'd probably think it was something from the later seasons of the Fred Wolf series.

Heck, were the Cyber Samurai turtles really that much different from the Metal Mutant warriors?
