I'm more amazed that the seller is trying to pass it off as legitimate. The seller is claiming its an "import." Some unsuspecting buyer is not gonna be happy, I think.
Or if this suspecting buyer wins it, very happy :3

How bada$$ is this shirt?:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Vtg-1986-Leonard...81846516900573

I think the seller may be delusional based on his starting bid/ BIN price. Unless $406.00 is a good price for a old, worn shirt that is described as feeling "soft". Some people.

That shirt is freaking amazing. But the price is ludicrous. I bet the original art is floating around somewhere...

I found this, and thought it looked very similar to the one posted in the custom section here:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Custom-SHREDDER-...item4cf78a5d36

The differences? This one is for sale. And I'm bidding. So no one else bid. Seriously. Don't do it.

I love Jin's customs but the dude has a penchant for taking ideas and not crediting where he got them from... Which kind of bugs me. We all take inspiration for our customs but if we full on rip an idea, we tend to credit the person we got it from. At least I do.

That's the very first TMNT t-shirt, and one of the first TMNT licensed items ever made, so it is pretty bada$$. Definitely not $400 bada$$, and $200 is probably stretching it, but it's no ordinary $20 shirt.

Yeah, that looks way too close to Wes' epic Cyber Shredder.

that's a cool shirt but I wouldn't wear it. Most likely I'd love to frame it up somewhere. 200$ is def stretching it.

I'd say no, but then again I've seen some record breaking prices for vintage stuff recently, so who knows. Apparently there are some crazy people running around with deep pockets as of late.

Yes, and condition wise, its one of the better I've seen. I can tell from just the pic that it still glows in the dark. Definately a steep price, and not one hes likely to get, but I can see him accepting a somewhat lower offer down the line.

$1,100?!? Seriously?!?

It just amazes me what people THINK the Sideshow exclusive turtles are worth. Yes I see the OBO but usually on Ebay they won't take much less than what they have the buy it now price at.

This same guy has thrown up this same exact auction at least a half dozen times. Never seen him list it for under $800. Even at $800 that's just insane!

To each his own I say....I just won't be the one throwing money away like this.

I will be watching this for sure- gotta see what it ends at... though I imagine it will end up with a 2nd week with a slightly lower starting price. I wish them the best of luck!! As for the deep pockets, well- people are always willing to pay for the classic TMNT, it is the best!!

I'm in the market for one of those statues, and it's been pretty ridiculous trying to find a seller. The last exclusive Don that actually sold ended at $540 + $30 shipping. Just after that auction ended I e-mailed this seller, the one with the outrageous prices, and asked if he would lower his price to match the one that just sold. The response was pretty condescending. Of course, what's fueling all of it is that recently two complete sets of exclusives have sold for $2K. Oddly, another full set of exclusives ended at $1525 yesterday but the seller didn't get his reserve.

Anyway, I'm going to wait it all out and hope for an inflated but reasonable ($800-$1100 is not reasonable to me) price for the Don.

The funny thing is that this auction has already ended twice without a buyer. Both times it was listed with an $800 starting bid. It's like, "I know, my item didn't sell at the old price, so I'll RAISE the price by $300! Surely it will sell then!"
