Wow, TMNT Adventures offended a lot of Christians - Page 6

I swear, I may be practicing my religion, but why do Christians have to bash these cool franchises. It's like saying "Let's ban Looney Tunes because it has talking animals," or "Get rid of X-Men because lasers coming out of Cyclops's eyes is satanic." Seriously, do Christians just want most of us to be that boring? I'm not boring. I can try new things. I don't care if I see talking bunnies on TV show. Why? Because it's a TV show, for crying out loud! I mean, what do they want us to do, read the Bible all day and do nothing else? That's crazy! I worship the lord, and I have the freedom to choose my interests and hobbies. Like I said, the turtles are good people. They are not messengers from the devil. That is the stupidest thing I've ever heard. Shredder is like a messenger from the devil, because he's evil. Not the turtles! I don't know why certain families have to make a big deal over these things. They should loosen up, calm themselves, and just be happy that their kid(s) are enjoying what they like. That's final!

I'm Christian, and I'm not offended. I mean, yes, I acknowledge that there are other religions out there! GASP! But seriously, there's always a group of people who overreact to things that aren't representative of the religion as a whole. Just like how not all Muslims are terrorists. Or how there was a group of people who freaked out over Pokemon's evolution but the Pope actually gave Pokemon an official "thumbs up" because it inspires creativity with all of the different types of Pokemon that you can get.
(I personally find it hilarious that the Vatican is pro-Pokemon. Every time I think about it I just picture the Pope playing his GameBoy in his room while he's supposed to be doing something else, lol)

This is wrong. You guys really think that Christians are complete nerds that the only book they’re allowed to read is Bible and that they still like to burn people alive like in good old middle ages? I’m a fan of the Original TMNT and I don’t see anything sinister in this cartoon. My parents don't either. This is a good sense of humor cartoon. Beside there are Christian TV shows for kids with talking animals, robots, time machines.

Every big kid's fad has stuff like this spring up. Like that stupid urban legend about verses from the satanic bible being found in beanie babies. Everyone knows these are just innocent kid's toys. Except cabbage patch kids. Those are definately evil. Everything else is cool though.
