Regarding Bebop & Rocksteady (or the lack thereof) I read that it would've been too expensive to make them look good so they made their own characters who would be simpler & still effective.

Maybe we are forgetting the obvious, in movie reason: they were the fiercest creatures the Foot could find.

Actually, "The two most vicious animals"

On topic, what is the main concern with James and Mike's TMNT knowledge? Sure there are some fans who know more about the turtles, but what is the problem?

I think it's the size of the audience. If I made a video riddled with inaccuracies, it wouldn't matter much, only about 10 people watch my videos. James' videos are viewed by many many more people.

I understand that but are we worried that the tmnt will be misrepresented? I agree it is annoying but I don't see how it could cause any damage to the franchise

*shrugs* Spitfire'll have to answer that question, because I agree it's only an annoyance.

Basically this. And it's not so much that it's damaging to the franchise it's just annoying that if a bigger fan made more informative videos they wouldn't be viewed by a fraction of the people who watch James videos, inaccuracies and all.

I like the guy and I normally watch all his stuff but these Turtle videos are making me eye roll. He appears to have researched for his other videos or has he? This really makes me question if everything he says is accurate or not.

Also it's annoying when you correct someone about something they say that's wrong and they use examples like James's video here to back themselves up. And refuse to listen to you because that person is the be all for them. Reminds me of the people who thought Casey Jones could lift 600+ pounds and was the strongest character in the whole TMNT universe. Why? Because one person who was believed to be the "comic guy" told them that.

Oh yeah, still haven't received an answer, but what was the theme of this week's Turtle Tuesday? Since I'm at the hotel, I can't stream stuff as much. It always buffers.

It's not like the "official" sources ever messed up things about the turtles...

James was touring Mikes shelving unit, which he displays some turtle figures on.

love this. If an entire ninja turtle volume can be dismissed as non-canon, James's mistakes pale in comparison

I see the point Spit makes about James being seen as an expert when really he might not be. However, he is definitely generating some interest in the OT turtles which is nice to see. There really isn't a bigger "celeb" promoting the turtles (celeb might be a poor word choice. Perhaps "personality" fits better).

I really don't think his mistakes have been all that major, unless you want to pull a "Comic Book Guy". For the most part he seems to know his stuff, except for not knowing as much about the Mirage comics as one of us would. So what if he called it "Eyeball Joe" instead of "Joe Eyeball"? It's not like he called Raphael Rembrandt or something.

In one of his videos, I'm pretty sure he said something about not knowing much about the comics, not having read much of it.

James should act different when he's 'Jim' on his over-analyzing thing though... When he starts talking about crap and all the scat-stuff he just sounds like the Nerd again.

Wrong. Copout of a video.

I wish they would've reviewed either Tournament Fighters or Turtle Tunes or the first film instead of just flashing clips of each.
