That's exactly what I was thinking. I'm not bothered that he's not part of the main cast, but it's bull sh*t they wouldn't even let the guy audition. Chodes.

Maybe they just didn't want too many voice actors already established in TMNT cartoons to return. Rob Paulsen is famous for all his cartoon roles and is just a high profile VA in general.

True, of the original 4 Turtles, Rob still the most active VA.

That's dumb logic man. All it should come down to is if they're right for the character or not, and you find that out through auditions.

Usually in reboots, they like to go with all new actors than one previous associated with the property.

I remember before the Superman actor for "Man of Steel" was cast, some people wanted the Clark Kent from Smallville to play him in the movie, but the writers/directors did not want any previous actor who played Superman to be used in their reboot. It "separates" things from past projects.

That being said I do think Cam Clarke should have gotten some role in the show, not necessarily a Turtle. Perhaps he can play a villain or something.

Why would they announce it on twitter then? Why show off a small teaser a few months back? Even if the show is still a while away its clear they are showing it off at most chances they can get.

I don't know, it makes a lot more sense to me than "Nick totally hates that guy, don't let him audition".

Because they still need people to go to it. But if TMNT isn't going to have "a presence," that means no floor display and no official Con panel. But they could easily still do something like the Turtles Forever private screening a couple years ago. But again, we'll have to wait and see to know for sure.

Comic-Con is at the end of July and there will be no live streaming.

God damnit Cybercubed, I said I wanted him as Mikey, not to reprise his role as Leo. And voice acting is way different from live-action, so terrible comparison on both ends.

Unless you're being sarcastic; actually Cybercubed is completely correct.

Well, he's completely correct even if you are sarcastic, but... Yeah.

Not really. They got Rob Paulsen to voice a turtle, and he's no doubt a legendary voice actor, but you can tell it's him in pretty much all of his roles. That's not "separating" things.

Oh ok, yeah I wasn't expecting a panel or anything but I still consider the stuff above a presence at SDCC.

Newsarama.com and several other sites generally have live streaming (aka somebody there with a computer and typing everything going on) of the various cons. Footage generally appears later on.

Oooh... NEAT!

Okay, so it appears some of the official storyboards from the "pilot" are now up on deviantart. I haven't been on the internet since Monday, though, so am I late on this?

From a press release-

Next up for TMNT, this coming July at Comic-Con in San Diego, Calif., select fans will get an exclusive sneak peek at the re-imagination of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, preview all-new never-before-seen content, and meet special guests who are working on the new property.

Michele Ivey brought it to my attention.
