the rat king one shot or muti-episode villian?

if the rat king does appear in the new show i hoping he more like his old toon self ie he actually becomes a major villians cause it the 4kids show he only appear in one major episode plus a cameo at april wedding.

so what do you want of the rat king as a major villians as he was in old toon or a one shot monster that he was in the 2003 show?

One of the things I liked about the Fred Wolf Rat King is he wasn't necessarily a villain. There were many a time that he actually helped the Turtles. I liked him best in the FW series. He had the most personality of any incarnations.

I like how the Rat King was portrayed in the Mirage comics and 2k3, but I liked how he was around more in the OT. I'd like some sort of nice mix where he's creepy and formidable as an opponent, but not just some one-off character.

Rat King is one of my favorite villains of all time, so I'd rather him be a returning character.

Yes, and? I agree with both you. I share your views on Rat King being on the fence, and that he is the best version of the character.
I also share Goonga's hopes for the next one.

Powder is jst Bi-Polar... Jk....

Truthfully I loved him in the OT growing up, thought he was pretty awesome.
But I gotta say I love 2k3 inpretations of the Rat King, but it pisses me off how he was a one shot character...

I wouldn't mind him being like he was in the OT. He could fit in with the more humorous side of the show while still being a kind of cool villain/antihero/random annoyance. I'd just prefer if he showed his badass side a bit more often if he were a recurring character.

Seriously? He wasn't "a cruelly malicious person who is involved in or devoted to wickedness or crime" or "a character in a play, novel, or the like, who constitutes an important evil agency in the plot"? I guess I must have been watching the show wrong. And, being helpful once out of his 10-15 appearances doesn't make him a misunderstood good guy.

Ok...so he is a villain, but he wasn't as one note as many of the other FW villains.

I wouldn't call the OT Rat King a major villian. He was more of a minor recurring bad guy.

Rat King and Baxter appeared the most of all the non-Shredder and co. villains.

Why do you keep including Baxter? That's BS. The majority of his appearances were as Shredder's servant, and there were maybe six others (most involving Shredder).

I'd say a multi episode villain myself. We need a mix of mutant allies and enemies for the Turtles(yes Rat King doesn't fall into the catagory). He was always capturing Aprilevery chance he got.

The Rat King was one of my favorite villains in the OT series, and i think should definitely be a recurring character in the new series. Although he sometimes helped the Turtles, he was by no means a friend to them or 'good guy'.

I think the new toon should feature the ghost Rat King right off the bat. They probably don't want to show killing, so he should just be some omnipotent presence that helps (or deters) Splinter once in awhile. I'd rather that then the OT Rat King, but that's just me.

The Rat King has to be a multi episode villian! He was multi episode in the original series and was one of the turtles best villians.
