"It isn't that 20 a figure is a bad deal as an arbitrary number. It's the particular figures you have grouped together, combined with the number of figures, that makes it a bad deal. There are simply too many less desirable figures in that lot to ask that price per figure when theyre in groups that large."

well its a lot easier to sell them all at once for one set price than to set there and individually price them. if i had to individually price them i would have to ask more for them as well.

"Playmates keeps a collection of basically one of everything theyve ever produced, and that's about it."

i didn't expect them to have any but i would expect them to have information as to which distribute would have had left over stock.

so the first ever turtles produced were the fan clubs? i new they were the early ones but i didn't know they were the very first because i figured why would there be a fan club for a set of turtles that playmates didn't think would be so successful.

i do have a lot of commons like you said space cadet raph and April are my biggest. but i wouldn't mind getting rid of some of them. by the way i have been trying to find all variations of the first series April. i have blue stripe, orange stripe with press pass and april orange with no press pass. i know there's a april with no blue stripe and a April with no blue stripe fan club edition. is there any others im missing?

Yet another hater of the reseller on this board. IMO a resellers money is just as green as a collectors money. If a person has the money spend, who cares what they plan to do with the stuff. So I'm backing up mysterycolor on this one.

haha thats funny ok i need a rocksteady does anyone have one ill pay 20 bucks for it! lets see if anyone speaks up.

and dude its not hard to price used toys and i still think people over price them as well i mean come on ive seen them being sold for what im selling carded ones for. id only pay .25 to .50 for any loose one and that's pushing it. but hey you can try and justify your selves on how i charge 20 freaking bucks per turtle instead of paying out the butt fees on ebay for 126 different listings or you can except that i did the more logical thing by listing them at an even price across the board (whether it sells or not is totally up to a buyer). if it would make you feel better i can make a listing that will reflect price change and it will go 50.00$ for bebop 10.00 for space raph. does that make you feel better? i mean either way 20 for bebop and 20 for space raph im going to get the same amount its just how you want to look at it.

haha- thanks powder & tmntgoldcoin all i was saying was that it was too high for resale but NOT so bad for a collector (see i was being nice mr. meanie mcilovebeingaturtle!) you would probably be much more pleased with the results received by listing individually and psst... had you read your ebay messages you would know that this past tuesday you could have listed all 126 different ones for free!!! oh and btw if you dont like my auctions- simply elect to show 200 listings per page- scroll past my pretty pictures and be on your way

also just a question, if i listed my turtles up in 6 figure lots, 120 bid and 144 buy it now. they would be put into even groups and would have at least one figure that's not a common, but most would have 2 or 3 in it. so would anyone buy that or want it?

Don't have an answer to your question, but what are all of those figures in your signature from?

I wouldn't beat yourself up. Those 6 figures go up and down in price all the time. I just bought raph moc for $10 about a month ago on ebay. They're easy to find.

I don't know what the market dictates the price is for those figures, but I know that I wouldn't pay $120 for those six figures. But, you can always list them and see if anyone bites.

breaking them down might help....but i am just going to say that if you want a minimum of 120 for each lot i would recommend free shipping... because (and please dont get testy this time, i'm not trying to criticize!) those are not highly sought after figures i.e. none of the moc space cadet raphs listed have sold this month...moc surfer mike sold for 10.00...and the orange Aprils have a sad sale history (i know from experience)...so that is about 20 of the 126 you are selling... when you are making the lots be sure to research which figures are selling the best and match them up appropriately best of luck!

I think it will be alright- as someone else mentioned those items are fairly common

common yes, cheap no. your basically paying around 10/11 a fig if you consider that the 80 had the shipping built into it.

ahh im not going to bother with posting them now, i might put up a thread here when im aloud to and just let it set. but other wise ill just keep in in storage and set on them tell they are worth a ton more 20-30 years from now. im just trying to sell a few to build up some more turtle buying money. my wife doesn't like when i spend money on my turtles so if i sell them to buy more she cant say much lol.

I don't have a wife, so I can't fully appreciate your circumstances, but it seems to me that a man (or woman) ought to be allowed to have a hobby. Also, I wonder whether these figures actually will increase in value much more than they have. Nostalgia is hot now; might not be 20 years from now.

lol yea it gets frustrating but i kinda do it to my self as a couple months back i spent 400 on a set so she wasn't to happy about that and made me promise not to buy anymore for a little bit, so yea it kinda sucks.

and its not really nostalgia that will make them more valuable but the rarity of them, as Ive been reading a lot about people who buy them and open them up and other stuff. so eventually, like everything in time, it will get more valuable.
