Most likely going to have to buy a new one and hope for the best but I'd like to try and salvage This one first it's been such a pain in the ass ordering these since no store by me has them.

Like I said, the store next to my work has all 4 of them for $18/ea. Not sure what shipping is, but I could pick it up and ship it to you. I guess I can't guarantee condition though..

no way man you'd do that?! well there is one way...how about we start by you checking out the Leo, just lift it out of the box a little and you should be able to see his bandanna and top of his head, should be enough to gauge poor quality.(check the eyes) then if its looks good we can go from there! shipping would most likely be like 15 bucks or so but we can figure all that out once we determine its a good one haha. DONT BUY ANYTHING just yet though I'm a little tight on cash at the moment.

But lets not forget, i would like to still try and retouch this one. So I'll still gladly appreciate any ideas on a good paint match.

I'd think they'd be custom colors that you'll simply have to trial and error mixing until you get a match

good luck though, my jaw dropped when I saw the quality of that item, Really can't believe you got something like that.

yeah, your best bet is mixing various greens and yellows to get the right color. i would use citadel paints. you can find them at any game workshop or their web site. you might as well repaint the whole head. right now it looks like ass. i dont think a few touch ups would make that much of a difference.

Man that is so sad. These look awesome and they are pretty affordable online....i just hear the bad story of broken/poor paint. I seem to carry badluck with me when runing into issues on my orders....so.....

i know its quite the upset, and to see its pretty common that the two out of two Leos Ive seen are botched.

awesome thanks i know exactly where i can get some of those paints! yeah i was afraid that a touch up would not suffice...

Yeah it really is, and they are pretty cheap but maybe this is more common than I even think, and its amongst them all and not just Leo.

i might as well mention that Raph's sais are flimsy and barely stay in. idk if its called for glue or absolutely zero movement 5 feet around the statue but they need to be glued basically. For Leos swords as well but there not even as good as the method for Raph's which is a tiny hole and a piece of wire. Leo's is a narrow inset for the base of the sword and one of them didn't fit, by a long shot. but that was also on the right arm which appeared to have some problems along the seem of the sculpt down to his fingers.

Furthermore Raph's head was off to the right slightly, nothing that looks weird but you can tell its not sitting center on the post. i didnt quite look like it fit in the packaging right so i blamed that.

guess i have some arts and crafts in my near future!!

Doe's anyone think that i can recreate the black lines if i use a nice art specific black marker? i know of a art supply store by me that has a nice selection of inks in a variety of types and sizes.

i'd think a fine tip permanent marker would work fine, but yes, i dont see why it would be hard to recreate the lines

If you dont like the way it comes out I have an extra Leo that I can check to see the quality of it. I have never opened it but I will check it out and post a pic. I need a Mikey tho, so I would ask that you buy a Michaelangelo from Phelan if he is willing and have him ship it to me and then I will ship mine to you.

hmm i do like that, it would be up to phelan though cause he would have to ship it, but from my end atleast i would pay you for the Leo and shipping as usual. and i was unsure as to how we would pay each other haha but i like it! let me know if its a good quality leo and we can talk shop!..er ..turtles.

Ok, so i bought some citadel paints and started trying to fix this with surprisingly nice results i think. the paint match was almost too easy for the most part and i think its looks nice, tolerable atleast IMO.

I just need to decide whether or not to use paint or a marker for all the black lines, and clean it up a little more.

...and fix the swords, but that's nothing some krazy glue cant fix.

While it does look a heck of alot better, I think the eyes are still a bit sloppy. It really does throw the look off.
