dude if i could i would totally rip my skin off and stretch it out on a canvas lol...

and yea i have a great mix up of characters...dont forget caseys mask and the mousers and the baby turtles!

On yeah. I did not see that. Casey's mask has a lot of light and shadow on it. I love it! Also I like the baby turtle like it's about to work with the TMNT (like it's not one of them). Plus it looks like I only found 1 mouser, battle damaged, laying on the ground. This is a great tattoo. Now THIS, is art. Seriously: get the tattoo skanned or find another way to duplicate it. I want this hanging in my room.

CRAZY EXPENSIVE but it looks AMAZING! I plan on getting a TMNT tattoo myself with part of my next check if I can afford it...But mine will be a lot smaller and not nearly as epic. Super excited about getting it though.

$5300 for that? You got ripped off hard. Hell even a Paul Booth peice wouldn't have cost you that much and he's one of the best in the world.

That tat isn't worth more than $1,500 tops but hey if you like it and you didn't mind that price thats your call. Next time though, you might wanna shop around just a wee bit more.

I'd have to agree that that was a REALLY expensive rate vs. the work you got. Though I don't know that I'd have gone about saying it so harshly.

to each his own...i go to an artist who is known by many and has had many featured articles. not only in magazines but in a couple different shops as well as a guest artist on miami ink

id love to see the detail you get with $1,500. not much probably. and if you give mr. booth a call id guarantee hes ATLEAST $200/hr. and if you look at the majority of his pieces you can see that they are not color. so if you want to subtract the times i went back for color you can take off about 12-14hrs.

but hey...

Which explains the hefty price tag.

Who's did the peice? If there so well known you would think you could at least mention there name.

And Paul Booth can pretty much charge whatever he wants if he wanted too cause he's of the best in the world. $200 hr to Paul Booth wouldn't be out of the question but I know from friends who have had work done by him it's not $200 bucks an hour I'll tell you that much.

I wasn't trying to rip on you that hard dude but honestly you did pay WAY too much for that peice and you know it.

i am completely content with what i paid and how i tipped my artist. i am an artist myself and know how much prep, work, and time goes into a piece (not just a tattoo but other mediums of art as well). i also know the value of a tip and appreciate it as much as the next.

her name is Miss D'Jo and she can be found at Lark Tattoo.

she can also be found here:

I got a guy in my town alone who owns shops in 3 countries, & has tons of awards that he's won over the many decades he's been an inker. Charges $100 an hour and has no limits artistically. All it takes is a good deal of research to find talent/prices. & names don't necessarily mean jack other than a high price just to say "so & so" did it...

i mean i honestly dont care if shes known world wide or not...i knew her before i found all that out as a really good tattoo artist thats has tattood all of my friends and their friends and their friends. $50 more than that guy in your town isnt really that much regardless of whos better and who owns more shops around the world.

all that matters is that i know what i paid for and its damm good work

so maybe not to you but to all the others out there stop sippin on that haterade and take it for what it is...a damm good tattoo and if you dont like tattoos...a damn good work of art
