Totally agree. I am blown away by the Nick line. Especially considering one portion of it is pretty much 100% show accurate whereas the other has a hell of a lot more grit and detail. Best of both words!

But overall they have a really good S01 look going on.
I feel you, but you know what? They used the same expressions as the ORIGINAL toys. That's an awesomely excusable reason in my book.

I LOVE THESE. ALL OF THEM. I WANT EVERYTHING. I am f*cking floored. The main Nick line is what I like best, to my own surprise.
My only complaint is with the excessive articulation on the Classics line. I reeeeeeeeallly appreciate Playmates taking the extra step to give us that level of detail after our complaints over the past decade, but it's a little much. My biggest issue with that is that articulated fingers seldom properly hold accessories. We'll see how that goes, though, I guess.

PS- April/Splinter/Shredder etc. look pretty damn neat! Way better than I expected (not that I had low expectations, per se).
Not sure I care much for the Foot Soldier though, the one on the bike, I mean. The standard one seems dope.

The regular set is amazing, I can't wait to get my hands on them. The classics on the other hand I'm not so sure about. Something about the faces. They all look...uncomfortable

So I just saw the previews... looks like I need to start saving. I'll probably have to get 2 sets of those figures

After how good the classic Turtles look, can you imagine what Shredder, Krang, Bebop and Rocksteady would look like?

Finally the classic villains can actually look just like they appeared in the show! I can't wait for the villains for the old show!

Oh...and I am still hoping for Lord Dregg eventually.

I hope we'll get a Shredder matching the detailed Nick turtles figures, in mold and articulation.

Ah that reminds me, I had one other complaint about the classics line. The shoulder straps.
They look kinda cool, I guess, and they're a nod to the OG line, but they didn't have them in the cartoon.
Isn't that the point of this series? To be as accurate to the OT as possible? Whatever, minor gripe.

not sure what Playmates have stated, but i guess they are just going for an overall "classic" look.

That's something I noticed just now, but it's not that bad. Altho, if they're going to be as accurate to OC as possible, I hope they give trenchcoat accessories that fit them.

Not to stir up the 3rd toe debate again, but I HATE the 3rd toe in what I guess is the main nick line... they look like big monkey feet.

It looks fine in the "Sound FX" line though, the more show accurate ones.

Also, where's Don's gap?

I think this is a fine place to have this thread, personally. The other's are buried and this is directly related to the new show - and in some cases it's providing our first look at character models.

That said, the figures look fantastic!! I'm talking about the "Action Figures" - not the "Deluxe Power Sound FX Figures". The latter don't appeal to me much. They look like clay and lack texture, color depth, etc.

I'm hoping the Shredder in the background of the sewer playset is closer to what he actually looks like. That version looks like a cross between OT/2k3, which is fine with me. I just hope he's human and you can see his eyes and skin around the eyes as opposed to the black/red from 2K3.

I'd have preferred Don had one thin strap and Leo had crossed straps, like the old figures, but I can live with them as is, or modify them if needs be.

And I have a few 6" scale trenchcoats and hats in the fodder boxes, that's not a bad idea...

I kinda digg the monkey feet, gives them a... "savage" look (?) with the extra textures the molds have. Thought the toon accurate figures looks good too, too bad the have a sound gimmick instead of similar articulation.

And I didn't notice the lack of gap until now, bizzare

I noticed something, if you look at the 4 turtles, they are very well painted with shadowing. If you look at the playset and vehicle toys, the turtles are not the same detail wise and don is a different color..... makes you wonder what the final product will look like...

Couple toy pics I haven't seen before (nick toon toys)

Nick toon figures. I dont know if I just somehow missed this or what, so here you go:

note shredder, splinter, foot soldier, april, and krang in android suit, though hard to see them

I'm really digging the new TMNT toy designs, but I'm hating the 3rd to (in the CGI shots we've seen it hasnt been THAT bad looking, but the toy version bothers me from what I can tell. yay for toy modding!

Um the other thread has been active since the day it was posted.
This is also not the toy section.
